In 1999, the two brothers-in-law who founded Main Street Cafe & Pub aimed to create a down-to-earth neighborhood restaurant that evoked a sense of luxury with its menu of seafood and upscale pub food. Today, their restaurant hosts throngs of devoted locals, as well as shrewd tourists who can smell the all-you-can-eat crab legs.
The dining room's tall bay windows shine light onto a black-and-white checkerboard floor and tables groaning under a mix of casual pub eats and homestyle entrees. Distinctive dishes such as parmesan-encrusted grouper and a fried tilapia melt—complete with housemade jalapeño tartar sauce—balance out familiar blackened-chicken wraps and fish ’n’ chips. The seafood chowder and other housemade soups are prepared fresh daily.
Open for amateur and professional cooks alike, The Saucy Cook is a specialty food store that houses a myriad of organic, kosher, and low-sodium cooking and baking products, including international cheeses, oils and vinegars, dessert toppings, chocolates, and more. A saunter down the sandwich-spread aisle will lead guests to a jar of raspberry peach champagne jam ($7.75), designed to lift the spirits of austere slices of toast, while the Husker-produced red hot chocolate powder ($6.99) will educate taste buds on the Socratic interpretation of hot cocoa. Directed by column-calibrating expert Dr. Alex Kallio, Comfort Chiropractic's dedicated team strives to reverse the body's mechanical hindrances and restore balance to the musculoskeletal system. Journeys of spinal alignment begin with a consultation and exam to identify areas of annoyance and concern. Dr. Kallio may request x-rays to further unearth blights such as breakage, curvature, and recreational marble consumption. From here, patients undergo an adjustment to ease discomfort. Depending on the patient's main concern, the spine may be reworked with the traditional diversified technique, manual low force, or a gentle hand-held device. Groupon holders also undergo two modalities of mechanical-traction massage. These treatments ease vertebral muscles and stressed cerebrums in tandem atop an automated table that cycles up and down the backbone, loosening knots and disgraced friendship bracelets.

Even though the number 10 is in its name, Good Life Fitness and N-10sive Boot Camps runs more than ten boot camps and group fitness sessions per week; rather, the studio hosts hundreds. Their namesake boot-camp workouts trim physiques through burpees, pushups, squats, and other calorie-torching calisthenics. Core X classes empower abs to deflect tickles with warning growls, and Synergy X yoga lengthens limbs and improves balance. Additional services such as personal training and nutritional counseling complement group classes with a more personalized approach to achieving a healthy lifestyle.
To say that Greta's Gourmet isn’t your average butcher shop/deli is probably a bit of an understatement. First of all, it has its own sausage kitchen that features 27 varieties of sausage and jerky every day. This kitchen is run by Kevin Mandigo, who has 25 years of restaurant experience and a bachelor's degree in hospitality and management. Kevin works alongside his father Roger Mandigo, PhD, who was a professor of Meat Science at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for 45 years and who was recently named to the Meat Industry Hall of Fame, along with such luminaries as Colonel Harland Sanders, Ray Kroc, and the Hamburglar. All of the recipes for the sausage kitchen are formulated by the Mandigos.
Kevin butchers meats such as certified Angus beef, pork bacon, and poultry. The Mandigos also dream up new recipes together, as well as cook their signature deli roast beef at the onsite deli for 20 hours.
This New York–style deli tops the beef with brie and serves it on a sweet roll. It also serves gourmet blue cheese burgers with a special twist: the freshly ground patties contain crumbles of blue cheese.
Then there’s the catering aspect of Greta’s. Shalla Powell-Mandigo, a Le Cordon Bleu–trained chef, creates from-scratch meals for parties and tailgates. She crafts everything from barbecue pulled chicken to bacon-wrapped crabs to pork tenderloin medallions in an herbed balsamic reduction.
With more than 100 years of meat-mongering lineage, the Cetak family's carnivorous empire has met the needs of area meat-eaters with gusto for generations. Using classic Czech recipes passed down from Joe Dworak, the great-grandfather of Cetak's owner Jason Cetak, the shop's meat mavens imbue each link, brat, and cut with Old World flavor and a penchant for Victorian phonographs. View encased meats through a New World lens with Louisiana-style andouille sausages, made with pork and a savory blend of southern seasonings ($4.99/lb.). For ante-meridiem munching, plate a four-pack of maple breakfast-sausage links, fashioned with pure vermont maple syrup ($4.99/lb.), or spice up a boot-shaped supper with four hand-stuffed hot italian sausages ($4.99/lb.). Cookouts and blackouts are enlivened by the hoppy goodness of Cetak's specialty beer brats, steeped in Czech custom and Pabst Blue Ribbon ($4.99/lb.).
