Committed to the environment as much as they are to customer satisfaction, the auto bathers at Flagship Carwash coddle dusty vehicles with eco-friendly chemicals and the green LEED-certified water system found at their Herndon location. From eight locations across the Washington, DC, area, they vacuum rugs and wipe down dashboards before cars bask in a high-pressure tunnel wash. Technicians also break out the elbow grease for hands-on detailing services, scraping off splattered bugs and tar, buffing exteriors to remove scratches, or spiffing up interiors to obscure werewolf gashes in leather seats. To restore smooth surfaces, they touch up paint on car bodies and remove small dents by popping the metal back into place.
With Mother Nature as its main squeeze, Green Shine Wash features an eco-friendly waterless car wash. For every wash completed, it also donates 20 ounces of water to developing countries, taking clean water and its conservation to heart. With the customer in mind as well, it offers mobile services, bringing the waterless wash to customers' homes, offices, or solar-powered treehouses. Services include everything from basic washes with interior vacuuming to comprehensive interior and exterior detailing, with add-ons such as shampoo treatments, headlight restoration, and EcoWax.
Serving Northern Virginia since the 1960s, Embassy Autowash carefully cleans each vehicle that cruises through its wash tunnel. During car wash sessions, the brushless system protects automobiles' sensitive surfaces from microscopic scratches while keeping every hair in place.

John F. Hogan Jr. was a consistent man. He had been clocking in to the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company’s corporate office in Akron each day for more than 25 years, learning the ins and outs of its tires. Then, in 1984, he made a slight change. He decided to move to Virginia, open Hogan & Sons Goodyear, and share his knowledge of Goodyear’s tires there. Since then, his business has grown right along with his family—there are now eight locations and many more Hogans. All of the full-service automotive shops have complimentary shuttles and, of course, Goodyear tires. The full-service auto repair shop is staffed by continually trained ASE-certified technicians, who swap out motor oil, realign wheels, inspect brakes, and teach air-conditioning units how to whistle during maintenance and repair services. They service all makes and models and include a 3 year, 36,000 mile warranty on all their work.
