Jeff Glebe studied massage at the Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy. After graduating in 2001, he opened Michigan Therapeutic Massage to help people get through their body aches and discomforts and lead fuller lives. His first order of business was to assemble a staff of nationally certified therapists who also honed their skills at accredited institutions and in the real world. All male and female therapists are graduates from the Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy and are nationally certified through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. All that education shows during massage sessions that aim to decrease muscle pain, soothe tension, and make clients' elbows jealous of their backs. In addition to their talents at the massage table, the group also spends time continuing their studies to stay on top of evolving techniques.
Certified holistic practitioner Denise Strauss opened Vivo Wellness Center to improve clients’ quality of life through holistic services administered by experts certified in their respective fields. When not busy flushing away waste with colon hydrotherapy or restoring range of motion with therapeutic massage, practitioners also oversee BioMat therapy and far infrared sauna sessions, which help to alleviate joint pain and purge toxins from the body with the power of light. Denise and her staff also better bodies with nutritional assessments, ensuring clients receive enough nutrients and don't lack any substances such as essential vitamins or trace elements only found in chocolate-chip cookies.
The therapists at First Oriental Therapy Center help bodies and minds heal themselves with relaxing massage and acupuncture services. While they’re versed in traditional massage techniques—such as Swedish, deep tissue, and hot stone—therapists also reduce headaches with cranio-sacral therapy and release bad energy by caressing acupressure points. Likewise, their acupuncture treatments correct imbalanced pathways with thin needles placed at the body’s energy hotspot and birthmarks in the shape of I-75.
The trained kneaders at MC therapeutic massage pool more than 28 years of experience as they ease soreness with a range of soothing modalities. While myofascial release seeks to loosen connective tissues between the skin and sinew, deep-tissue massage unravels bands of tight, painful muscles. Trigger point takes a similar tack by focusing on tender knots. If left unchecked, these tangled fibers may lead to injuries that can make you miss your work's throw-a-pie-at-your-boss day.
Xclusive Tan’s epidermal artists transform physiques into heavenly bodies with a host of skin-rejuvenation and tanning services. During three RenuvaSkin sessions, visitors stand on a vibrating platform and revel in head-to-toe crimson LED beams. The combination of motive and spectral stimuli aims to bolster muscle tone and circulation, tighten lax elastin, and spur collagen production and boost morale within fibroblast factories. Soul-cage surfaces typically attain noticeable softening after each 12-minute procedure, but repeated exposure can assuage pigmentation problems and shake accumulated wrinkles out of vintage birthday suits.
Each LaVida Massage location is a comfortable place that invites people of all ages, genders, and shoe sizes to unwind and improve their emotional, physical, and immiscible well-beings. During a 60-minute deep tissue massage session, one of LaVida’s skilled deck hands will untangle back knots by applying firm pressure to the deepest layers of soft tissue. Targeting specific muscle groups causes concentrated pain and soreness relief. If your face rather than your muscles are on your mind, opt for the LaVida facial. This therapeutic treatment reduces fine lines and wrinkles and gives dermises a deep cleaning.
