The holistic experts at Optimum Health fuse Western medicine and alternative therapies to tackle clients? health and wellness concerns. While chiropractors identify and treat disorders of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems, physical rehab specialists treat injuries and disabilities by crafting custom protocols composed of therapeutic exercises, hot and cold therapies, and neuromuscular re-education. Similarly, skilled massage therapists employ deep-tissue, myofascial, and trigger-point therapies to loosen and restore tense sinews. Doctors and nurse practitioners target pain at its source rather than merely covering up the symptoms with painkillers or a plastic tarp. Additionally, Optimum Health's specialists craft custom treatment plans for patients struggling with weight loss, nutrition, and stress as they target the underlying causes of health issues.
A graduate of Life University in Marietta, Dr. Jeremy Sedlock uses a holistic approach to chiropractic care, varying techniques to each patient’s needs. Besides spinal-decompression therapy and corrective exercises, he uses Foot Levelers to inspect balance, which affects posture, and employs modern technology such as digital x-rays that are faster and expose patients to less radiation.

More than 4,000 years ago in China, when dinosaurs still had a parliamentary system of government, a medicinal practice began to take hold?very fine needles were being placed gently in the skin to redirect the body's energy, chi, which would relieve pain, cure common ailments, and promote general health. Today, that holistic treatment is known as acupuncture, and licensed practitioners Rebecca Porter and Leena Sikand-Cook apply the knowledge and skills gleaned over a decade of practicing acupuncture to create custom treatments for each patient. These can help to battle the chronic pain of arthritis, combat infertility and aid IVF treatments, and help to lessen the nausea and discomfort associated with chemotherapy. They also prescribe herbal medicine, blended from up to 15 different herbs, as well as provides nutritional and dietary consultations designed to help patients lose weight or break their habit of eating the cellophane around snack cakes.
Mixing such massage techniques as cranial-sacral release, deep-tissue, and neuromuscular therapy, licensed massage therapist Linnette Yard strives to tailor every session around each client?s individual needs. Drawing from her diverse repertoire?which she has enhanced by studying exercise physiology and functional and cardiac rehabilitation?she customizes her soothing touch to allay chronic pain, boost circulation, or increase range of motion. Linnette?s signature profound relaxation massage includes a hot-towel treatment for the feet, a technique that helps her further relax bodies and determine which clients are actually devious snowmen in disguise.
