One of the oldest stoneware manufacturers in the United States, Stoneware has been dedicated to the tradition and careful craftsmanship of transforming clay into enduring, functional art for the home and kitchen since 1815.
On the Stoneware Art Factory tour, follow the steps of more than 20 skilled artisans who take the clay from raw form to completed piece. Pick from a wide selection of pottery pieces and use the same tools and glazes as Stoneware?s artisans, to decorate your own masterpiece. Once complete, your piece will be glazed and fired by Stoneware staff. After its time in the kiln, it?ll be ready for pick-up in about 7 to 10 business days. Allow 1 to 2 hours.
Located in Louisville, Kentucky the art factory in the Paristown Pointe neighborhood offers tours twice a day Monday through Friday and a paint your own pottery experience and retail store Monday through Saturday.
Inside Shine’s wellness studio, humans of all ages will find numerous opportunities to increase their physical and mental health through yoga classes, Nia fitness exercises, and other inner-light-revealing activities. A five-class card ($65) is good for 12 weeks from the time of the first class, and gives customers access to a wide selection of stress-relieving daily classes. Diversely styled yoga workouts train guests to balance their body, mind, and spirit together on one seesaw as they stretch and mold their corpora into brand-new personas. For whole-body conditioning that integrates nine movement forms from martial arts, dance, and healing arts, guests can opt to attend a Nia class, successfully unifying their body’s neurology and musculature like crackers in a blender.
The friendly skincare experts at Bays Boutique refresh visages with Nobel Prize–winning ingredients from the RéVive skincare product line tested on customers during counterside facials. The mild Cleanser Gentil Gelée ($65) cleans, refreshes, and soothes all skin types by preserving natural moisture and restoring pH balance sent off-kilter by orange-juice baths. Fingerfuls of eye-renewal cream ($110) erase dark circles and puffiness around peepers and protect the skin with RéVive's exclusive, patented Epidermal Growth Factor, which earned a Nobel Prize for its healing effects on scarred and burnt cells. EGF also rejuvenates faces in a lightweight, oil-free tinted moisturizer ($85), which balances light, medium, or deep complexions and defends sun-shy skin with an invisible UV fence charged to an SPF of 15.
Renting a Magbooth doesn't mean some guy in an unmarked van will drop off a hulking piece of machine with little more than a how-dee-do. Instead, a full-time attendant will be on duty for the duration of the event, ensuring proper booth function and strong-arming guests into having a good time. The attendant also brings props and accessories that turn the mini photo sessions into retro fests featuring pirates, kitschy vinyl album covers, and more. Every rental includes unlimited prints, which means guests can get in the booth as many times as they want and take home hundreds of matte 4x6 printouts for unlimited Facebook tagging and darts practice. All of the images will be hosted online for guests to see, download, and order prints.
The style-savvy staff at Red Tree helps homeowners to embellish abodes with distinct, antique-style décor, solid mahogany furniture, and other regularly changing inventory items imported from around the globe. Made by hand from kiln-dried mahogany, Red Tree end tables, china cabinets, and chairs are draped in hand-painted finishes or fabrics chosen from an eclectic collection.
Eight showrooms residing on two floors allow shoppers to peruse kitchen, office, and bedroom furniture, mirrors, bookcases, and knick-knacks. In gratitude for its harvests of rich mahogany, Red Tree peppers international communities with live trees as part of a tree-planting initiative and a trade treaty signed with Mother Nature. So far, as part of its commitment to the environment, Red Tree has planted more than 300,000 trees.
