When Roald Dahl wrote Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, he imagined a much-coveted golden ticket that granted access to myriad wonders and unveiled the inner workings of an entire industry. MetaBody created a real-life version of that ticket with the MetaBody Yoga & Fitness Pass, though it applies to fitness instead of candy. The pass grants access not to a single gym but to classes at a variety of local studios, specializing in everything from yoga to boot camp. With the freedom to move from location to location, students can sample different regimens, instructors, and styles of exercise to cobble together a program that fits their needs and goals. MetaBody's nutritionists supplement class packages by coaching clients in healthy eating, recipe cooking, and speed-reading nutrition-fact labels.

A functional-training studio staffed by experienced CrossFit coaches and former college athletes, Integrated Fitness Training transforms exercisers of all levels into fit, focused athletes. Barbells, gymnastics rings, and rowing machines welcome students to a 3,000-square-foot training floor, where they cultivate the type of strength and coordination they need to meet their fitness goals or slow-dance with a manatee. A variety of group fitness classes matches exercisers with boot camps, scalable CrossFit classes, and cardio-heavy kettlebell workouts. Like a pair of sharpied-on eyebrows, CrossFit workouts increase intensity, incorporating gymnastics-inspired moves such as burpees, muscle-ups, and handstand pushups.
Mark and Kathryn Roberts are both certified CrossFit trainers who use functional-fitness exercises to help people drop pounds and sculpt muscles. Their gym is outfitted with weights to lift, kettlebells to swing, and ropes to climb. Sets of gymnastics-style rings enable guests to build upper-body strength.
Lindsey Hanlon, the owner of CrossFit Invigorate, ascended to the level of NCAA Division 1 National Qualifier in the breaststroke, which further fueled her passion for physical fitness. Now, at CrossFit Invigorate, she leads athletes and fitness disciples toward their fitness and wellness goals according to CrossFit’s principles of varied, functional strength. In their gym, which is referred to as the “Box,” classes sweat through a different Workout of the Day (WOD) each day. WODs are always different, but often include exercises that range from weightlifting and running to rowing, kettlebell training, and gymnastics-inspired exercises.
