This annual 5K run winds through Genesis Preparatory School's campus?varied terrain that encompasses hills, pine-covered flatwoods, and, of course, gallons of mud. Racers slog through it, and navigate a sprinkling of obstacles, too, but it's worth it at the finish line. Afterwards, participants can enjoy live music and enough food to ensure that no one has to refuel by running the race backward.
CSA Palm Harbor keeps its neighborhood moving. As the managing body of parks, recreation, and leisure services for the unincorporated community of Palm Harbor, the outfit takes charge by providing affordable, high-quality facilities and programs. CSA Palm Harbor manages three multi-sport complexes and a full-service community activity center. Outside those doors, though, their efforts ripple through the community. They include a municipal kayak launch, a waterside park, fitness workshops, 5K fun runs, and camps for kids who don't want to spend their summer memorizing yearbook messages.
Dr. David Shaw draws from more than 20 years of chiropractic experience to achieve one goal: to help patients get rid of pain without drugs. To do so, he targets sore or injured areas with a combination of traditional chiropractic adjustments and advanced technology. When healing soft tissue, he targets sore areas with a noninvasive cold laser designed to break up internal scar tissue and stimulate cell reproduction.
Situated along the banks of Little Lake Fairview, St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School has served the community and its children since its founding in 1955. Highlighting the school's long list of services, the Bulldog Summer Camp helps students elude summer break boredom. The camp—divided into groups according to which grade students are entering—fills days with both indoor and outdoor activities, including games, arts and crafts, and free time for campers to further explore their interests. Most weeks also feature a field trip to local attractions, such as swimming pools and miniature golf courses.
