Go Fusion Fitness couples group workouts with spa services to build both healthy bodies and a communal environment for women. Owner Daphne Guenther hastens heart rates within her clean, sunny studio with intense circuit-training regimens. During classes, each participant completes intervals on hydraulic weightlifting machines, undergoes intense bursts of cardio exercise, and elucidates a complex series of riddles. After their workouts, members can retire to infrared saunas to send toxins fleeing from pores, or enjoy other services such as massage therapy, reflexology sessions, and soothing, detoxifying ionic footbaths for tired feet. All staff members—from instructors to childcare-centre personnel—are women, providing a comfortable haven for ladies to break a sweat.
Tired of feeling unfit and unhappy with their bodies, husband-and-wife team Barry and Jana Ratzlaff decided to make a change. They registered for a fitness and weight-loss challenge, and have since revamped their physiques and lifestyles. Today, 50 and 25 pounds lighter, respectively, Barry and Jana have made it their mission to help others change their lives while having fun.
To that end, their mostly outdoor fitness facility spans 10 acres of cedar forest. But the natural expanse is more than idyllic hiking grounds. Twenty challenges obstruct winding, wooded trails, through which Barry and Jana lead small groups in flipping heavy logs, balancing on cedar beams, scaling rope walls, and outrunning beavers. When the weather isn’t ideal, they bring their fitness expertise indoors to their fully stocked studio for one-on-one personal-training programs, which can include weight-training, cardio counseling, and nutrition planning.
Great West Fitness & Tennis Club helps its members get or stay in shape with cardio and weight training equipment, a slate of group classes, and both indoor and outdoor tennis facilities. Divided into ladies-only and coed sections, the gym provides options both for the solo exerciser and for those who prefer to bond over mutual sweatiness. The former can build or tone muscles using the club's weightlifting machines and free weights or gaze at mountain vistas through extralarge windows while they trot in place on a bank of treadmills. Classes, led by Great West's certified trainers and instructors, include yoga, boot-camp, Latin-flavoured Zumba, and cycle classes designed to strengthen midsections and enhance apple-slicing skills. You can receive a free fitness assessment administered by a personal trainer or relax in an infrared sauna with complimentary towel service.

The first years of a child’s life are some of the most formative, with kids quickly learning the mental and physical skills they’ll use for the rest of their lives. The instructors at The Little Gym help foster this growth with their signature brand of positive, nurturing activities, using scientifically based methods to help kids confidently master the basic skill sets needed to jump-start their successful lives. They tailor their classes by age group and activity type, helping babies as young as 4 months build motor skills and language development while instructing kids as old as 12 years old in karate, dance, and resisting the urge to tattle. Each of the classes incorporates three dimensions of learning, mixing physical movement with brain-challenging exercises and activities that build kids’ confidence away from parents.
