B&S Fitness Programs is composed of four different fitness-related branches, all of which are overseen by cofounders Brandi and Steven Dion. At North Shore Boot Camp Company, Brandi and Steven, along with their staff, lead indoor and outdoor boot-camp classes at locations across Massachusetts. On the track, they coordinate marathons and triathlons throughout the year for B&S Event Management, and hit the races themselves as part of a running team called SpiderOne Racing. Since every team needs a home base, the duo also operates B&S Sport Science, a 10,700-square-foot facility devoted to research- and technology-based services such as ACL rehab and personal training.
Year-round tutoring services are led by certified teachers and offer educational assistance to all age groups from four to adult. Choose semi-private tutoring ($15/hour) to attend a small group instruction, a private tutoring session ($20/hour) for a more focused, one-on-one approach, or request a free upgrade for in-home private tutoring (normally $25/hour, $20/hour for Groupon holders). Whether you're looking to catch up with peers or go beyond the learning curve, tutoring services create a personalized approach to educational success.
At each of Brain Balance Center of Boston’s locations, a friendly staff of neuro-academic teachers, sensory-motor coaches, and nutrition experts put into effect their comprehensive program. In doing so, they aim to find customized, drug-free answers to behavioral and learning issues often associated with a variety of social disorders such as ADHD, dyslexia, and Asperger’s syndrome. These come in the form of an activity plan combined with nutritional guidelines.
The kitchen at Brodie’s Pub elevates typical bar bites with quality ingredients, such as Angus steak tips and turkey tenderloins. Bowls of housemade chili and chowder whet taste buds for elaborate sandwiches, such as veggie-stuffed chicken-teriyaki pockets and the Famous Philips burger, whose housemade italian sausage has never signed an autograph. An array of beers and other drinks are available to complement any entree, from barbecued-turkey-tip salad to fried chicken wings served buffalo-style or with duck sauce.

At Vivo Fencing Club, a trio of decorated Hungarian coaches share their wisdom and expertise with beginner-through-elite-level fencers. Head coach Arpad "Arpi" Horvath has been involved in the sport since 1989, later going on to become a two-time NCAA champion during his time at St. John's University in New York. Today, Arpi and his fellow coaches rely on the Hungarian fencing approach—which focuses on the whole fencer—to teach students of all ages and abilities. They offer classes for students as young as six, allowing youngsters a chance to gain discipline and develop useful skills while their friends are still struggling with the mountains of paperwork that come with running a lemonade stand.
Pump It Up's indoor inflatable arenas launch socked striplings into the air with a plethora of kid-friendly bounce pads. Staffers supervise fun-filled visits, during which adult counterparts leap around with their kids through gargantuan bounce houses, skip down air-filled slides, and slither like snakes covered in bacon grease through an inflated obstacle course.
The colorful venue also hosts custom birthday parties and private team parties, each themed to please the partygoers in question. These soirees immerse children in a schedule of interactive activities befitting a pirate or a superhero while melting off youthful energy faster than ice cubes thrown into a running DVD player. The birthday boy or girl even gets to blow out the candles on their cake seated in their blow-up throne. Occasionally, the staffers switch off the lights, arming the roomful of players with glow sticks and bracelets as they navigate the air-cushioned obstaclescape. Relying on the staffers' vigilant, watchful eyes, guardians can rest assured that their charges will stay safe, and each piece of the inflatable playground is held to the floor and ceiling by a complex series of anchors installed according to strict safety standards.
