From boarding and daycare to checkups and surgery, the services at Chesterfield Veterinary Center have pets covered. Two doctors and a small staff work to keep dogs and cats happy and healthy. They care for animals six days a week and showcase philanthropic values as well: when the team unexpectedly and tragically lost an employee, they established a foundation in his name that benefits animal charities.
Whether you are going on vacation, a business trip, or just spending too much time at the office; Fetch! Pet Care is for you. We provide a variety of attentive services for ANY pet, including dog walks, pet taxi services, in-home sitting & private boarding.
Though most people hate the feeling of getting lost, that?s the point behind spending a day at the maze at Brookdale Farms. Not because the staff wants guests to wander aimlessly, but because the maze makes for a great way to enjoy the autumn sunshine at a relaxed pace and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Open as a family-friendly jaunt during the day and as a haunted attraction at night, the maze tests navigators? skills and affords a rare view into how scarecrows live when they think no one is looking. Outside the maze, the farm offers other autumnal activities such as pumpkin slingshots, pony rides, adrenaline-pumping ziplines, and a hay jump, inviting families to spend a full day disconnected from their televisions, computers, and employer-mandated tracking devices. The farm also has its very own pumpkin patch, where children and adults can pick their own pumpkins, especially after a nice hayride.
At Baxter's K-9 Complex, pups explore and gallivant around a 4,000-square-foot indoor dog park loaded with obstacles courses and playfellows. Hounds visiting for doggie day camp sink teeth into chew toys, rummage through tunnels, and attempt to topple Olympic long-jump records from atop ramps. High-energy and moderate play areas divvy dogs into comfortable levels of playfulness, and rest areas facilitate naps, snacks, and polite debates over a warm brandy.
Kelly Shaw has a long history of animal advocacy. In addition to volunteering with local rescue groups, she's traversed state lines to help fosters and strays find their forever-homes. She even welcomed two of those rescues into her own family.
Over the course of her work, she saw how dogs' bad behavior was connected to a lack of exercise and attention. That bad behavior often frustrated owners to the point where they would take what could have been a beloved pet to the shelter. That's why she and her husband, Brian, opened Club K9—to give dogs a cage-free place to safely roam and play with other canines.
Their facility features two large play rooms covered in rubber flooring, as well as a separate space for small dogs. It also offers an outdoor area with both shade-covered and sunny spots for dogs that need to keep cool and dogs that need to get some color to prove to their friends they had a nice vacation.
Inside the boarding space, where soft music constantly plays, dogs can count on sleeping in the same crate each night with their favorite toy from home. If owners don't want to crate their dogs, Club K9 boards them in spacious private suites. In addition to daycare and pet boarding,
Silver Maple Farm's two-acre estate teems with furry friends on loan from owners. In two-hour play sessions at doggie daycare, pooches stretch their legs, breathe fresh air, and make new friends by checking other dogs' tail areas for trading cards ($28.50/day, $21.50/half-day). The facility is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each weekday so that Fidos can socialize while their human servants are off earning money and buying kibble.
