Flex Hour sessions are composed of intervals of cardiovascular, endurance, and strength training, roping in a variety of equipment and training methods. 9Round gym takes its name from its signature kickboxing workout, a continuous circuit of nine workout stations perpetually overseen by personal trainers. Students jump into whichever station happens to be occurring whenever they show up to the class, the trainers always ready to start coaching. The workout takes about thirty minutes, and involves heavy bags, speed bags, medicine balls, and, of course, punching and kicking. The Margate location features shiny black leather equipment, which only loses its gleam by being repeatedly pounded up against the exposed brick walls.

They teach students to properly punch, kick, and dodge spring-loaded boxing gloves during MMA, boxing, and kickboxing classes, as well as marry strength training, cardio, and dynamic stretches in their signature fight-conditioning classes. In that spirit, she leads plenty of nonpole classes designed to get students strong and agile enough for pole work. Ballet and barre sessions stress the importance of muscle-building and graceful movement, and deep-stretch classes help people become flexible enough to perform any number of pole moves. Of course there are several pole classes as well, for students just learning spins to those ready for inversions, as well as courses in advanced techniques, such as aerial rings and silks.
