G.A.C. Fitness offers training for customers of all ages and ability levels. If you work out best in a group environment, check out one of the facility's many fitness classes, including yoga, spin, and a CrossFit program run by certified coaches. Or work at your own pace on the fully equipped gym's strength training and cardio equipment. A seasoned team of trainers offer sport-specific training, whether for budding young soccer players or adults who want to improve their golf game. Amenities abound, too—parents can enjoy the convenience of a childcare room, and visitors can take advantage of the smoothie bar and locker rooms complete with towel service, which means members are welcome to take as many towels as they need to build a workout fort.
The inside of Blue Ash Strength & Conditioning looks like a jungle gym for adults. Here, people hang from bars of different heights, jump up to gymnastics rings, or flip giant tires through the space. This is a typical CrossFit class, led by experienced trainers who change up the workout routine every day to ensure muscles don't plateau. Their exercises are designed to create well-rounded athletes, and everything that's done can be scaled to accommodate guests of all fitness levels. A typical day at Blue Ash can bring any number of unforeseen challenges, from running around outside to hurling medicine balls.
Squatting, lifting, and running are everyday occurrences for people going about their busy lives, but Calibrated CrossFit’s trainers shed a new light on the functional movements. Their CrossFit classes weave high-intensity versions of the moves into daily-changing routines, which work the body differently every day to avoid fitness plateaus. Augmented by nutritional guidelines, the classes sculpt muscles quickly and efficiently.

The trainers at CrossFit 1809 prescribe only the medicine that they themselves take—CrossFit. "Our head coach Seneca lost 100 pounds and changed his life," says the owner. Now Seneca and team share that success with new students from all walks of life. They draw from weight-lifting, gymnastics, plyometrics, and other schools of movement to help clients sculpt their bodies.
According to the owner, though, fitness isn't the only thing they offer; they also boast a great community. "[The] cool thing about CrossFit1809 is that people from all walks of life come together and hit the same workout."
Inside CrossFit Cornerstone, you won't find rows of weight machines and treadmills. Instead, you'll see sand bags, gymnastics rings, and other nontraditional gear. But the most vital piece of fitness equipment in a CrossFit workout is you. And the motivational trainers work to make fit-seekers of all ages and fitness levels successful during their high-intensity workouts, whether they're just starting out or highly experienced.
Their workouts are designed to increase patrons' functional fitness, meaning that they'll perform squats to help tackle flights of stairs or heave bags of sand to help heave bags of sand. And no two workouts are alike in an effort to keep participants engaged, while also working different groups of muscles. As the sweat-inducing routines progress, fellow classmates cheer one another on, building camaraderie that also serves to instill a sense of accountability, which keeps everyone coming back for more.
The gym can be an intimidating place for unexperienced exercisers, which is why Better Bodies introduced its Healthy Start training program. During the initial session, the staff uses a computer program called the Virtual Fitness Planner to reveal basic biometrics and calculate the likelihood of health risks such as type-2 diabetes. Once you're informed, you can take action by signing up for a personal-training session, attending a group-fitness class, or lifting on the fitness floor's Hammer Strength machines. For busy parents or particularly ripped nannies, Better Bodies also provides complimentary childcare services for members.
