For more than 17 years, the photographers at Fashion Shots have devoted every inch of their 3,500-square-foot studio, to letting ladies feel sexy and confident, with a theater viewing room complete with red carpet, and a makeup and dressing room area. During boudoir and glamour shoots, women strike sultry poses with female photographers under artfully arranged lighting, rotating through different outfits and getting primped by onsite hairstylists and makeup artists. Afterward, the team retouches shots to erase any blemishes or photo-bombing ghosts.
The Portrait Shoppe's shutterbug squad has captured the likeness of athletic legends, enigmatic celebrities, and ordinary people getting married. Put their nurturing directorial skills and time-freezing talents to the test by having them coax natural smiles out of your newborn, soon-to-be mom, high-school senior, pets, or family. You can also use your session to commemorate the joys of marital engagement or the promise of potential in a post-graduation smile.
Within Striking Poses' studio, clients can travel anywhere—the beach, say, or back in time to the glamorous era of early Hollywood. To set these scenes, Striking Poses' team relies on its selection of detailed backdrops, as well as soft boxes that conjure dramatic lighting effects. That said, the studio also accommodates sessions in a naturally lit outdoor space—whether it be for modeling shoots, family portrait sessions, or passport photos. As each photo is snapped, it appears on the studio's 27-inch monitor, allowing clients to better adjust the shoot around their personal visions. To preserve those visions, Striking Poses' crew creates a variety of products, including canvas wraps and and enlargements.
Matthew Turri traces his interest in photography all the way back to his birth in Rochester, New York, which is also home to the headquarters of Kodak. It would appear that some Kodachrome bonded with his DNA, as he focused heavily on picture-taking in high school, eventually pursuing photojournalism at the University at Albany-SUNY. Since then, Turri aimed his aperture as an intern for the New York legislature, a staff photographer for a daily newspaper, and a freelancer for numerous weddings and events. Now in full command of his own prowess, Turri lends his services to families romping in the sand and superstitious brides and grooms sharing drinks on the opposite sides of a door.
Regardless of which of the hundreds of Target Portrait Studio locations you meander into, you can always count on a similar experience. Tucked into Target retail locations throughout the nation, each studio boasts a staff of professional photographers, premium lighting equipment, and advanced digital cameras. The seasoned crew takes pains to customize photo sessions to suit each customer's vision, setting up desired backgrounds and props before guiding families and high-school seniors through a mélange of poses. Afterward, customers will work with a professional to personalize their portraits with different special effects and styles, such as black and white or sepia tone. They then pick up their physical portraits at the studio in 7–10 days. If they don't feel like holding their breath that long to see the final products, they can access the images in an online gallery within 24 hours of the session, at which point they can order extra prints for gifts, collages, and greeting cards.
