Six days a week, the trainers at Upstate CrossFit lead different WODs—classes named for Workout Of the Day—which are designed to keep participants engaged every time they get their sweat on. Even though the classes are geared toward a group, the trainers work closely with each client to make sure they're challenging themselves, but not attempting the impossibl. They also make sure their speed and intensity is sufficient and safe.

The diverse team of trainers at 4Balance Fitness draws from such backgrounds as professional wrestling and competitive swimming to craft structured, all-encompassing training regimens designed to give clients their best shot at success. In service of this aim, the team takes a four-prong approach that begins with motivation and team building and builds toward injury prevention and goal achievement. Instead of treating clients like bodybuilders by focusing on individual muscles, the program uses a movement-based approach designed add ease to everyday activities, ranging from yard work to helping a little old lady carry an olympic barbell across the street.
