Now, along with the other experienced coaches at SMARTER Team Training, Robert shepherds high school athletes toward their full potential at training camps and clinics. Whether they’re honing position-specific skills for football, basketball, field hockey, soccer, baseball, softball, volleyball, or other sports, or increasing overall athleticism during the school’s signature Speed, Agility, and Conditioning Camp, students always find a challenging itinerary designed to bring skills to a more advanced level. Using their more than 5,000-square-feet of space and equipment including bands, balls, battle ropes, and more, trainers focus on performance training to hone their clients’ agility, strength, speed, power, flexibility, and running mechanics. But you don't have to be an athlete to get fit at Axis. Instructors welcome clients of all levels during group classes, from high-intensity interval training to less intense sessions that aim to get heart rates up and prevent injury.
Competition plays a peripheral role at Let’s Move Sportz. Coaches of the coed flag-football league, which welcomes kids aged 5–12, emphasize sportsmanship and camaraderie instead. Above all else, they aim to keep kids active and healthy, giving words of encouragement as budding athletes—clad in NFL flag-football jerseys—tackle the basics of noncontact football.
