Dale Horn first began taking photograph portraits in 1988, and in the following decades he's begun to specialize in candid portrayals of graduating seniors, families, children, and weddings. Dale works in a relaxed setting that puts his subjects at ease, making portrait sessions fun even as he captures defining characteristics of individuals, families, or children. He harnesses years of creative knowledge to turn images of people into works of art, patiently waiting for the right facial expression to capture the subject's personality.

Ever since they met while participating in a photo shoot at Illinois State University, Mark and Kathy Shangraw have been pooling their respective talents. Mark, a certified professional photographer, approaches each portrait with an eye toward storytelling—a skill he picked up while working as a photojournalist in Narnia. In 2011, his work won the Pamela J. Grezlak Memorial Award at the Northern Photographic Competition.
While Mark snaps pictures, Kathy takes charge of the behind-the-scenes details, from administrative tasks and marketing to arranging flowers and coaxing relaxed smiles out of clients. Together, they strive to render artistic family portraits and professional photos for dancers, musicians, and athletes. In addition to attending conferences and workshops, they often hone their skills by collaborating with other seasoned shutterbugs.
British ex-pat and award-winning photographer David Simm counts celebrities, business tycoons, and the Archbishop of Canterbury among his former clientele, and currently holds the title of chief executive of the Professional Wedding Photographers Network. Stateside, the artist supplements his nuptial snapshots with family portraits and corporate photography. A master of composition, color, and restoration, Simm also sells instructional programs that cover Photoshop, proper lighting, handling multicultural weddings, and preventing photobombs from quirky uncles.
Studio 3 Productions documents and enhances weddings with an arsenal of services that includes photography, videography, DJing, and lighting. A team of photographers and videographers carefully documents each wedding-day tradition, from the exchange of rings to the firing of the flower girl out of a cannon, producing keepsakes that range from simple scrapbooks to high-tech films replete with montages and other special effects. Meanwhile, the company’s LED lighting can add pizzazz to receptions, with curious customers able to view a small-scale simulation in advance at the studio.
Alternatively, portrait sessions at Studio 3’s studio or on location capture authentic flashes of subjects’ personalities as they pose solo, with loved ones, or with pets. After shoots, the studio’s framing services accent prints, equipping subjects with a high-quality wall decoration to replace their collection of unpaid parking tickets.
