According to Sam, the operations manager of LSI Transportation Corp, a career driver's most important asset isn't found in the glove compartment or under the hood. Above all, a driver needs to have a sense of professionalism. It's clear that Sam practices what he preaches?he and his drivers do everything in their power to help clients get to where they're going in comfort and style. LSI's impressive fleet includes a 2012 Chevrolet Suburban LT that's capable of ferrying up to seven passengers safely to the airport or shuttle launch pad.

Q&A with Russ, Management

How is your approach different than that of other professionals in your field?

Our Valet Airport Parking Service is enjoyed by thousands of travelers each month. In the winter, you get off our 24-hour, seven-day-a-week shuttle to and from Boston Logan terminals (a five minute ride) to your car up front, warmed up, and snow removed. In the summer, enjoy coming back to your car up front and air conditioner on. Upon arrival to our facility, your receipt is on your dash, so no waiting; you just hop in your car and go.

What's one tip for first-time customers that will make them feel like regulars?

Upon arrival to the Valet Airport Parking lot, leave your keys in the car, and have your license plate ready for the counter to process your claim ticket for easy return. Business and leisure frequent travelers return over and over again.

What aspect of your job, or the services you offer, most often surprises people?

People are often surprised and delighted at the optional services we can offer while they are away. We have a full detail service on site and a car wash. We offer an exterior car wash, interior detail, exterior detail, or a complete detail package and have your car looking good upon your arrival. Our bus drivers even assist with luggage.

As the sun makes its retreat into the horizon, the whales of Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary come out to play. Their elephantine fins slap the waters with such zeal that the pod seems to be putting on a performance for the catamaran of whale watchers in their midst. This end-of-day nature show experienced by passengers aboard Boston's Best Cruises’ New England Aquarium Whale Watch is hardly a rarity, as the ship’s crews guarantee sightings of these gentle giants with each excursion.

Champions of the natural beauty of Boston Harbor and the area’s rich maritime history, Boston's Best Cruises’ expert crew sets sail on cruises to suit all manner of interest. Along with their whale watches, Boston’s Best Cruises whisks passengers away on Harbor Cruises that grant unimpeded views of the Boston skyline and the King Kongs pumping fists within its skyscrapers. The Salem Ferry facilitates leisurely cruises between Boston and the historic city, and aquatic outings to the Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area enable activities such as sunset clambakes, hiking, and fishing.

Boston Pedicab has no shortage of silly names for referring to its pedicab rides, starting with "Giggle Wagon" and extending right through the "Ultimate Rolling Party." It's all part of the company's concept of "transportainment," a fusion of transportation and entertainment that produces unforgettable experiences.

Boston Pedicab's stable of witty drivers helps make that synthesis possible, whether on simple rides across town or one of the company's various tours. These informative jaunts delve into Beantown's 350 or so years of history by exploring specific neighborhoods, from Fenway and Downtown to Beacon Hill and Back Bay. They're filled with historical facts and local buzz, and they can even be customized according to certain sites, topics, or interests. No matter what type of ride customers choose, Boston Pedicab doesn't have trouble getting around: the city was designed for horses and bicycles?not today's cars and hovercraft prototypes?meaning traffic is rarely an issue.
