One of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of paints in the Pacific Northwest, Parker Paint has been sprucing up interiors and exteriors since 1945. The company has evolved over the years to keep up with the latest advancements in painting technology. Among the multi-hued fruits of this evolution are weather-ready exterior paints, whose modern formulas scoff at the elements and prove ideal for realistic yet unflattering outdoor murals of the neighbors. With more than 1,600 shades to choose from, painters will find it nearly impossible to settle, like a bowl of jello during an earthquake. Luckily, customers can take advantage of the handy virtual decorator to narrow their choices and forecast what color schemes should be applied to which room, such as aquamarine themes for the exotic-fish room, bright primary colors for the inflatable fire escape, and a variety of yellows for a basement filled with antique butter churns.

Randy Reed is trying to make a difference one gallon of paint at a time. In 2010, his business Reed Painting Company developed Green Man Paint, a program designed to keep paint out of landfills while simultaneously making the greater Seattle community greener. Through that initiative, Reed Painting Company recycles unused paint and then donates all of it to non-profits, urban beautification projects, and arts organizations. In 2011, the efforts netted the company Sustainable Seattle's Innovator in Sustainability Award.
That was a defining moment for the company, but it's still the day-to-day work with locals that keeps Reed Painting Company at their best. Licensed painters head out to home sites each day, where they work on interiors and exteriors and apply their own custom system of primers, sealants, and paints. There's also a team to tackle dirty windows and clogged gutters, as well as carpenters who can help with wood rot and handyman services and are shining examples of how to properly wear a tool belt.
After retiring as a fourth-generation Seattle firefighter, it was only natural that Bill Davis decided his next career path would involve his ever-present tool belt. A master carpenter with more than 25 years of experience, Bill leads a bonded and insured crew of assistants as they expedite small and large domestic projects. He provides estimates and answers to all types of carpentry, remodeling, and installation projects, putting in new cabinets with the same deft skill he uses to build a brick pathway or clean gutters of squirrels’ safety deposit boxes. Above all, his company puts good work and integrity first, in hopes of becoming a household name for each of his clients.
The team of six handymen from Saibot Construction have helped home and business owners stay on top of building upkeep since 2003. The contractors offer their time-earned expertise for projects of all sizes and scope, ranging from remodeling finished basements to patching up leaky roofs to mounting flat-screen televisions. Homeowners can call upon the team to whittle down "honey-do" lists filled with smaller chores around the house, such as paint jobs or hanging pictures, as well as for larger projects, such as demolitions of houses presumed haunted because the pictures hung themselves.
