Each of the three licensed chiropractors at Better Life Chiropractic became chiropractors as a direct result of their own positive experiences with chiropractic treatments. Doctor of Chiropractic Roy Strickland’s chiropractor helped him overcome inexplicable pains when he lived in Japan. Dr. Nathan Olsen’s mother cleared her migraines with chiropractic adjustments, and Dr. Jed Badders recovered from a fractured vertebra and broken pelvic bone due to a car accident with chiropractic care. The doctors now devote themselves to the arts of fostering health from the inside out with holistic, drug-free massages and spinal-decompression techniques.
The team emphasizes communication with patients. Before adjusting spines, the doctors explain everything in advance, answering questions and quizzical eyebrow raises to ensure patients stay privy to the goals of each technique and are able to participate in their own wellness regime and give feedback to the doctors.
After graduating from Los Angeles Chiropractic College, Dr. Craig Ellison brought a holistic approach to the back treatments he was licensed to perform. He uses the Activator method, a noninvasive technique that emphasizes speed instead of force during chiropractic adjustments to treat both children and adults. Aided by a battery of equipment, including an electromyography scanner, the doctor of chiropractic works to aid in recovery after injuries, accidents, and weekends spent helping Wile E. Coyote move into a new apartment. In addition to adjustments, Dr. Ellison empowers his patients with at-home corrective exercises and nutritional supplements.
Trained at the Spine Research Institute of San Diego, board-certified chiropractic physicians Chad Woolner and Jefferson Harmon straighten spines with a host of physiotherapy solutions within Align Chiropractic’s golden-hued walls. Although he originally prepared for a career as a dentist, Dr. Woolner decided to switch disciplines after observing a chiropractor ease injuries that hadn’t responded to a doctor-prescribed regimen of muscle relaxants, painkillers, and therapeutic hand puppetry. Today, Dr. Woolner remains committed to the treatment of chronic pain without drugs or surgery. Together with Dr. Harmon, a second-generation chiropractor, he’ll tackle bodily complaints with a variety of noninvasive methods, including electric-stimulation treatment and exercise rehabilitation. Both practitioners tag-team with licensed massage therapists to coax away deeply buried muscular knots through trigger-point massage and strongly worded post-it notes. Helping people to meet their goals?both health-related and aesthetic?sits at the heart of Integrated Health Center of Idaho's philosophy. The staff works with clients to ease discomfort, lessen fatigue, and tackle other health issues head-on. And their medical weight-loss treatments can help clients to shed unwanted pounds.
Dr. Jared Hanson’s spinal-decompression sessions treat all sorts of back problems, including sciatica pain and pinched or triple-knotted nerves. He also helps achy backs—and a host of other ailments—heal with a team of experienced massage therapists that dole out therapeutic and relaxation services.
