Bob Wollam's life is in full bloom. Since 1989, the gardener has surrounded himself with 11 acres of fresh flowers, more than 80 varieties of trees, shrubs, and perennials, and a volunteer army of green-thumbed interns. And the plants aren't the only beauty to fill the grounds. A federal house dating back to 1819 features antique furnishings and was fully restored over Bob's first ten years on the farm. Guests are welcome to spend the night, and get full old-fashioned experience with fresh-baked goods from Bob's sister Karen, who lives next door, and eggs or career advice from the farm's chickens.
As the promoter of antique shows across the East Coast, Dordy Fontinel's career is almost as storied as the pieces of vintage Americana she vends. A collector since her teenage years, Dordy first started in the antiques business in 1978, eventually moving into promotion in 1992. She was joined in her new venture by her husband, Stillie Mason, an auctioneer with 18 years of experience. Together, the pair helps dealers display their wares to new crowds of collectors, filling their events with vintage home decor, jewelry, and accessories?many of which date from the 1760s to the 1960s.
Esthetic Laser Clinic's certified laser specialists and licensed master aestheticians bolster clients' outer beauty with laser skin systems, soothing spa treatments, and techniques gleaned over a combined 25 years of skincare experience. Four different laser systems from Candela and Lumenis help tailor treatments to individual bodies, dispersing light beams at custom wavelengths to help tighten skin and banish fuzz from most skin types. In photofacials, the clinic's IPL machine uses quick pulses from a flashbulb to help enhance elasticity and soften wrinkles better than sleeping on a pillow of dryer sheets. More than 10 laser-free facial treatments also elevate façades of all ages with serums that cleanse, hydrate, and oxygenate the skin.
A keeper of culture in the capitol city since 1966, the Metropolitan Chorus celebrates the beauty of the human voice without limiting itself to a certain genre. Apart from symphony-assisted classical concerts and annual productions of Handel's Messiah, the chorus also shows the jazz roots of artistic director Barry Hemphill. After all, Hemphill is the son of frequent Satchmo-collaborator Shelton "Scad" Hemphill and was babysat by none other than Billy Holliday growing up. Yet even though the ensemble's influences are so varied, a common thread ties its concerts together: a strong emphasis on American composers old and new.
Golf with friends is the best kind of bonding. There's nothing like being out in the open air, hearing the wind blow through the beautiful old trees lining the fairways, and refusing to grant your compadres a mulligan. The satisfaction of a well-played hole is amplified by the amusement you get from your partner's three-shot spectacle in the woodsy rough. Today's Groupon gets you and a friend 18 holes with cart at River Oaks Golf Course for $40 (up to a $88 value, depending on the day you go). Your Groupon is good for any time Monday through Friday and after noon on weekends.

Whether you're an experienced dancer hoping to brush up on certain techniques or you have two left feet for feet and two right feet for hands, the lessons at Arthur Murray Dance Studio offer bountiful, dance-based benefits.
