At Miraculous Massage, a list of massage techniques—from Swedish and therapeutic to reflexology—untie knotted muscles and diminish areas of pain. Refreshed bodies can get faces to match with microdermabrasion treatments and express facials.
Aromatherapy can be used to soothe nerves and focus the mind, but for SkinBar's Lynda Dheming Moore, it sparked her entrepreneurial spirit. While working at an essential-oil company, Lynda discovered the benefits of plant extracts on the skin. This experience inspired her to enroll in aesthetics training and cosmetic chemistry classes at UCLA. This was in 1995, when Dr. Howard Murad was developing his holistic approach to skincare in nearby El Segundo, so she sought training from him after completing her coursework. She opened SkinBar nearly a decade later, after learning high-tech techniques at The International Dermal Institute and deepening her knowledge of skincare products at Dermalogica.
SkinBar stays true to its name, focusing exclusively on ways to smooth and refresh the saran wrap covering our faces and bodies. Facials reflect Lynda's diverse training, with involved rejuvenation methods involving gentle electrical impulses, salves enriched with goji berries to heal dryness, or retinoids to even out blotchy pigmentation. She still relies on Murad and Dermalogica tonics during treatments, but her library of products now includes bottles from Jan Marini and Obagi as well as cosmetics from Jane Iredale. Bluewick candles infuse the studio with relaxing aromas, and their scents seep into private chambers where massages ease pregnancy or melt knots with warm basalt stones. Waxing reveals radiant skin from under a wilderness of hair, and makeovers can accent facial architecture with pigment and eyelash extensions.
Licensed aesthetician L. Marie Gazzana takes great pride in offering her clients cutting-edge beauty treatments. But it was her personal quest for self-improvement that led her to adopt one of her spa's most popular treatments: the infrared body wrap. After giving birth to twin boys, the busy working mother searched near and far for a treatment that could help her ditch the baby weight without compromising what little free time she had. She decided to give infrared body wraps a try, and after losing 51 pounds and gaining loads of new energy, she decided to share the service with her clients.
At L Marie's Bare Elegance, newly svelte physiques can also find further enhancement with a menu of facials, eyelash extensions, and full-body waxing services, which includes several options tailored exclusively to men. L Marie provides access to a relaxation room from Caesar's Palace with enchanting decor. She also offers clients refreshments such as mimosas or sparkling juice. After-hours appointments are available by request.
"Technique is everything," says Tricia Hetherington, licensed esthetician and owner of The Pretty Kitty, a chain of full-service waxing boutiques specializing in bare-all Brazilians. Tricia, who’s been profiled in Luxury Las Vegas and several additional press outlets, personally trains each staff member in her proprietary 10- to 15-minute hair-removal method, which employs high-quality soft wax that’s formulated for delicate flesh and minimizes pain. Her estheticians never double dip into the wax pot, reaching for a fresh stick with every application of the warm substance and leaving only a thin landing strip or functional tarmac in its wake. The Pretty Kitty's menu of services also includes facial and full-body waxing, and though walk-ins are welcome, appointments are recommended.

Lori Lewis knows what it's like to struggle with acne, because she wrestled against breakouts when she was an adolescent. Now, as an aesthetician and the owner of Nu Bella Skin Care, she happily comes to the aid of epidermises suffering from acne, hyperpigmentation, and melasma. She also wields products that help amend a face’s wrinkles, lines, and outdated subway maps. Her menu includes facials that boost collagen, cleanse pores, and moisturize dry skin, as well as diamond dermabrasion and chemical peels. For example, Lori renders the pumpkin peel, an exfoliating treatment that can leave faces looking younger. When she isn't beautifying exteriors with her extensive range of facial services, Lori prunes them with brow and Brazilian waxing.
