A former life coach, motivational speaker, and host of You Are the Light!, a cable TV show that aired in New York and Los Angeles for 15 years, Edwin Bergman knows a little bit about bending in multiple directions. Indeed, it wasn't a lack of flexibility that led Edwin to yoga, but instead, it was yoga's capacity to heal, strengthen, and revitalize that's had him practicing since 1989.
Today, Edwin shares what he's learned over the last two decades at his very own studio in Miami Beach. When describing his classes, Edwin uses words such as "strong," "focused," and "nurturing," making sure not to leave out that he keeps things "fun," too. In 2003, he traveled to India to deepen his understanding of yoga—just another stop on the extensive journey that is his training. Now, at his studio, Edwin blends all of that training into classic teachings that emphasize balance, precise instruction, and fluid movement.

Modani adds dramatic, modern flair to homes and offices with sleek, space-maximizing kitchen, living room, dining room, office, and bedroom furnishings and accessories. With an emphasis on hidden storage, Modani's clean, luxurious designs draw the eye along graceful lines, making pads approachably impressive and understatedly welcoming. Give flowers a chic new hangout with the Double X metal vase ($110), or store blankets and other living-room necessities in the metallic, padded golden chest, which doubles as a safe room for Barbies ($140). Modani can also transform an abode with post-baroque flair with pillar-candle holders ($30–$35) or make a corner earn its keep with the Canelle side table ($150).
Nadeau characterizes its furniture as "with a soul" because it's true artisan work: handcrafted from wood rather than mass-produced from gasket pylons. Showcase fine china and live gerbils in a mahogany regal glass-door cabinet ($372), or in a hefty, finely trimmed narrow bookcase with drawer ($197). Or, display a new moving picture box on a bobbin leg console table ($116). Furniture comes in a myriad of stains and colors, and many pieces are one-of-a-kind. Nadeau's ever-changing inventory includes a variety of sturdy dining room tables and chairs. Prices and selection may vary due to rotating inventory, but pieces are always fully assembled and ready to welcome any tuckered torso or mound of toothbrushes.
When a first-time visitor steps into Sale Rack, she rolls up her sleeves, beelines to the well-organized racks, and rummages through a trove of eclectic designer dresses, jeans, and shirts marked down 60%–80% off retail prices. This ritual—what the recycled-clothing-boutique owner calls "a modern day treasure hunt"—may take a bit more patience than the average store experience, but the bounty can be glorious: vintage Louis Vuitton bags, Citizens of Humanity denim, Miu Miu blouses, a never-been-worn Marc Jacobs dress, and anti-gravity space wear by NASA. Though labels often bear big names, staff members scrutinize every item to ensure its fresh, bold style and prime condition. The resulting apparel, accessories, and home-décor items have wowed even professional eyes, grabbing a Boutique of the Week title from College Fashionista and mentions on Miami Fashion Blog and DailyCandy.
