For one day, companies from the beauty, style, and fitness industries share their wares and expertise during a six-hour extravaganza produced by women for women. The Bazaar showcases health, fashion, and beauty products from the latest lines, such as Sally Hansen, Vision Essentail by Kaiser Permanente, Mamamio Skincare, Posh Beauty, Chella, Whole Foods and others. The morning will kickoff with Blueprint mimosas and Whole Foods samples while you enjoy Yoga. In The Activity Area, women can limber up in fitness classes or commemorate the excursion in the photo booth. Pamper Me Fabulous is all about strengthening your mind, body, and spirit.
Named after the Greek word for me, em?na spa centers on the individual through a bevy of complimentary amenities, soothing d?cor, and pampering services. The doting staff stays true to the spa's namesake, ushering clients into one of six private treatment rooms for a revitalizing microdermabrasion or detoxifying peel accented by organic products, cutting-edge technology, and aesthetic know-how. Stylists at a full-service salon and nail technicians pore over features with attentive services that elicit youthful beauty. For full-body enhancement, massage therapists unearth tension through four modalities as licensed physician's assistants target unwanted hair and skin blemishes with GentleMax laser technology.
Led by Gabriel Salloum, MD, Miami Center for Plastic Surgery offers surgical and nonsurgical procedures designed to help patients meet their aesthetic goals. The Aesthetic Gallery serves as the center's surgery-free wing, where aestheticians beautify figures and faces in a swanky spa setting. Minimally and noninvasive services, such as Botox, laser hair removal, and chemical peels form the core of the aesthetic team's repertoire. The plastic-surgery wing, which includes six private treatment rooms, caters to those in search of more significant solutions, such as to lift eyes, shape noses, or banish unwanted bulk.
The center's 3,300-square-foot complex, envisioned by notable architect and designer Agustin Fernandez, steeps patrons in a sensory bath of postmodernism. Inside pristine white treatment rooms, leather lounge chairs present sleek vantage points to take in the surrealist artworks and plants that offset the building's stark architectural lines and corner-shaped corners.

What are some of your most popular services? What do you think clients love them so much?
Clients love our deep-tissue massage because we go deeper than most therapists, we include stretching, and we guide you, in a tranquil voice, to take long deep breaths and use the incredible power of your mind to relax your body. In this way, the session is like a guided-meditation [session] in which you become a more active participant in your own therapy. Some clients who have suffered for years with chronic pain are amazed by the relief they get from neuromuscular realignment, which analyzes your musculoskeletal imbalances and stretches the core muscles that are pulling your body out of alignment.
What is one fun, unusual fact about your business?
We are literally a mom-and-pop operation. [Roxanne and I have been] married for 17 years and are both licensed massage therapists. Roxanne is also a licensed skincare specialist, and [I am] also a chi gong instructor.
How did you get started in the beauty industry? Did you have an "ah-ha" moment in life?
It started back in 2006, when [I] got laid off from [my] cubicle job and decided to get into a manual-labor career. Having always had a natural talent for massage, [I] returned to school and became licensed, initially in Dallas, Texas. Roxanne, after years of lessons from [me], also went to massage school and became licensed in 2008. [We] moved to Miami and got Florida licenses in 2011.
Stretch Zone mixes up humdrum fitness regimes with a new type of workout, one that can enhance physical performance, muscle symmetry, and flexibility. It consists of table stretching—but not the kind that you're probably familiar with. By working with the autonomic nervous system, Stretch Zone practitioners take muscle extension to a whole new level. Atop their specially designed tables, comfortable straps systematically position, stabilize, and isolate the parts of the body that are not being stretched. This allows the stretched muscle—and the person on the table—to completely relax, extending further than the central nervous system would normally permit. Besides helping rejuvenate and invigorate the whole body, the sessions can also alleviate rheumatic pain for everyone from seniors to adults.
Dr. Alexis Bergan-Guzman believes that alternative medicine can treat health issues ranging from basic stress to terminal illnesses. Her diverse background, including a master's in medical science and certifications in massage therapy and holistic bodywork, guide her staff in performing a range of health and wellness treatments. Chiropractic adjustments return joints throughout the body to their full range of movement so that heads can once again rotate 360 degrees. Massage modalities range from reflexology and hot-stone massage to the energy work of reiki. Acupuncturists insert slender needles 1/5 the width of standard medical needles into specific points across the body to relax and stimulate physical systems. Nutritional counselors help clients customize diet plans or interpret recurring dreams of asparagus.
