Apart from your business's main attraction, do you offer any "hidden" services or activities that visitors are always delighted to learn about?
Aside from fishing, I ... offer sight seeing tours around the famous Miami islands, [such as] Star Island and other points of interest.
What is the one feature of your business that you're most proud of?
The boat's flexibilities- its a flats/bay boat that can go into ... places where other, larger boats can not go. Also, the wide variety of fish available. And you never know what you may encounter: a pod of porpoises chasing food or a log-head turtle just getting air.
What?s your favorite part of your job?
Seeing the look on people's face catching fish. Its so gratifying as a guide to get your clients [a] fish. Aside from the fishing is when we all head up to a local sandbar, have the client decompress from fishing, and just wade in knee deep 85 to 90 [degree] water with their favorite beverage.
Miami is known for many things?art-deco architecture, vibrant nightlife, and mix of cultures. But the glue that binds Miami's spectral smorgasbord is the ocean, which is where Watersports of Miami comes in. The company rents out boats and yachts along with a bilingual captain and accoutrements such as stereo systems, coolers, and wet bars. Small groups can lounge or revel in the south Florida sun while cruising past the Miami skyline, near pods of dolphins, and safely away from the Earth's searing, molten core. But the company doesn't stop with just boats and yachts. Staffers can pair customers with water tubes and wakeboards, each of which can be rented alone or added to a boat rental.
Captain Wayne Conn draws on expertise garnered through tournament fishing and a native’s knowledge of South Florida’s waters when taking groups out for deep-sea charter fishing. Captains Chris Neiderman, Ryan Omsted, and Chris Temmel round out The Reward Fleet crew, which together boasts more than a century of experience.
Up to 50 passengers can climb aboard The Another Reward, a 70-foot angling boat equipped with electronics to locate fish, a galley, and a salon with eight dinettes inside. Three times a day, she sets sail on public charter-fishing trips so guests can scan ocean waves for fish such as tuna, kingfish, bonito, sailfish, snapper, and grouper. During these trips, guests will be provided with all the necessary equipment and bait. The crew also specializes in corporate charters, bachelor parties, and long-range trips.
Half Price Tour Tickets? knowledgeable guides orchestrate more than 30 diverse tours of Miami, the Everglades, Key West, and the ocean beyond. Most expeditions cater to adrenaline-fueled crowds with extreme pursuits, such as scuba diving, skydiving, and parasailing. The fleet of air-, water-, and landcraft grants access to remote locales, including the marshy Everglades and deep-sea-fishing hot spots, where fishing hooks play tug of war with sharks and submarine captains.
Cast ashore in Miami Beach Arena, Watersports Paradise occupies the tides with various water-devoted services. The company's environmentally friendly, 100-percent electric boats cruise groups of up to 10 across waves, including during tours helmed by an optional captain. For all things wake-related, such as boarding, surfing, skating, and skiing, certified instructors sharpen skills with lesson packages and clinics. Watersports Paradise can also pull out its map and help plan customized trips, from weekend vacations to corporate events.
From morning through evening, passengers motor to two main and seven remaining hotspots on Water Taxi Miami?s aquatic coaches. Watercrafts ferry riders to and from ports such as Miami Beach/South Beach Marina and Bayside Marketplace, the Mia Marina, where you can shop and dine.
