At Look Image Salon & Spa, beauty experts snip hair, color it with highlights, and lengthen it through extensions. The team can also pamper hands and feet with mani-pedis, or wax away unwanted hair from head to toe. Their expertise also extends to makeup application, teeth whitening, and eyelash extensions. These beauty transformations happen six days a week. On Sunday, Look Image Salon & Spa typically hosts private makeovers for wedding parties.
Marilyn Oliveira is licensed as an aesthetician both here and abroad, and for the past 20 years, she has helped to rejuvenate skin and bodies with European-style beauty-boosting treatments. She customizes her signature facials to bring out the best in every skin type and regularly employs organic and anti-aging products. Her brushes dust makeup across the cheeks of brides and their wedding parties, and her wax de-fuzzes brows, lips, bodies, and permanently affixed sweaters to leave physiques beach-ready. She also performs manicures, pedicures, and other services inside her private, relaxed quarters within Martin’s Salon at Brick Market Place.
Cocooned in a rich color scheme of maroon and gold, Ch?i Spa surrounds guests in Asian-inspired decor and intricate wall art. Privacy screens painted with cherry blossoms enshroud treatment beds, creating a peaceful vibe and camouflaging clients from nearsighted tigers. The staff applies all-natural organic products to faces and bodies during facials, massages, makeup applications, and waxing services. Samantha Vong, one of the spa's highly trained professionals, earned a spot on Paul Mitchell The School?s prestigious Dean?s List in March of 2010.
At Bella Piel, licensed aesthetician Debbie Cunha cossets the epidermal canvas with aesthetic services that rely on the beautifying powers of light. During light-focused services, Debbie beams each different shade of the visible spectrum onto the skin to treat corresponding skin problems. Red light helps reverse sagging skin and promote fat burning, blue light saves sensitive skin from acne and inflammation, and green light helps reduce under-eye circles and gives the body the ok to move forward with its TV pilot. Aside from color-coded cosmetic treatments, she also cleanses, exfoliates, and massages visages during facials and uses a diamond-tipped microdermabrasion wand to slough dead skin, lighten scars, and increase collagen production.

What?s your favorite part about your job?
My job is so personal. What other field of work can you go in and touch so many lives in a day? Knowing I can literarily make someone's day better by fixing a not-so-good haircut, or giving them the make over of their lives, is amazing. I believe it's one-hundred percent true that when you look good, you feel good?and when you feel good, you do good.
The interior of a business can affect how its customers feel. What kind of decor do you use to help make your clients feel pampered and at ease?
My salon is painted in a shade of lavender, which helps clients feel calm. All of our decor is classic yet vintage-inspired, and it includes lovely photos of our bridal clients on their wedding days.
What is one fun, unusual fact about your business?
We travel on-location to do a bride's hair and makeup on her wedding day.
Within the fuchsia walls of Luniac Glamour, stylist Jamie Bomback enhances eyes with alluring eyelash extensions. Lashes, available in an array of lengths and colors, adhere to lash lines to add length and definition, and last for three to four weeks before falling off naturally. Bomback also enhances eyelids with clear adhesive crystals, which add sparkle to every blink and help clients send Morse code messages across the dance floor.
