For more than 38 years, Light 'n Leisure "The Purple Buildings" has brightened abodes with high-quality, stylish lighting fixtures and home accents. Customers perusing one of three showrooms can gape at a plethora of fixtures, from interior enhancers such as the duchess antique nickel sconce ($80) to outdoor darkness repellers such as a nautical textured black wall mount ($69.99). Other fixtures, including ceiling lights, lamps, and wall lights, are also available to help send monsters into hiding and stem the tide of toe-stubbing epidemics. An array of home accents such as candle holders, decorative boxes, and vases is available for outfitting newly illuminated rooms with an eye-friendly wardrobe, and an in-store bonanza of clearance items augments the selection of domicile dressings.
Storage Pros Self Storage squirrels away customers' stuff in well-lit, fenced, and secure storage units. Rent a 5'x5' unit ($35–$75 depending on amenities and location) to stow away lumberjack costumes and papier-mâché blue oxen, or snag a 10'x20' nonclimate-controlled space for one month ($155–$201) to store 1 million Paul Bunyan Day flyers. Multiple locations offer storage spaces up to 400 square feet, and the Fairhaven facility has enough square footage to house a life-size replica of Shamu. Prices and availability can vary, so prospective packers should call ahead for details.

At the center of The Water Hazard Mini Golf's three-acre course, a 35-foot geyser erupts, knocking away incoming golf balls and sprinkling sun-baked putters with a refreshing mist. The expansive course owes many of its obstacles to the natural layout of the Holliston landscape. Flourishing bushes sit between holes and three large ponds break up the terrain while giving golfers glimpses of the sunbathing turtles and soft-shoeing frogs dotting its banks. A waterfall system nearly 500 feet in length also meanders throughout the property. Rolling hills, ridges, and a grand 120-foot slope also challenge golfers. The Water Hazard Mini Golf also features a full-service concession stand, which serves hot dogs, hamburgers, and homemade ice cream from Bliss Dairy.
The staff members at Sylvan Learning's numerous centers understand that each child learns differently. Therefore, they don’t try to implement a uniform tutoring system; instead, they design custom lesson programs based on the results of a skills assessment using diagnostic tools and one-on-one interviews.
Tutors work with students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12, illuminating topics ranging from basic reading and writing to remembering complex algebraic formulas without having them tattooed on your chest. Many of Sylvan’s instructors work in local schools, so they are intimately familiar with common curricula and understand how to gear lessons toward optimal results. Camps and after-school and summer classes can ready high-schoolers for the rigors of the ACT or the SAT, or they can help students to wow college-admissions officers with their superior essay-writing skills.
