It's not every day that a dinner with friends risks a murder accusation. That's a good possibility for the guests of The Murder Mystery Company, who find themselves in the middle of a investigation for which any one of them could stand accused by a hapless detective. During each interactive dinner, the company's troupe of professional improv actors ignites the dining room with entertaining outbursts and hilarious one-liners in an effort to divulge clues and redirect guilt. Meanwhile, guests work together to sniff out the real culprit, which is definitely not the school janitor in a mask. Birthday parties, bachelorette celebrations, and corporate events can also get in on the interactive action by scheduling a private murder-mystery dinner.
With more than 30 years of experience in illustrating, art teaching, and graphic design, Art 'N Oddities owner Meri Berghauer breathes life into art with unique classes and gallery showings. Students in the Mirror, Mirror class spend 2.5 hours crafting all-natural mosaics from magazine pictures, photographs, specialty paper, and discarded eviction notices, and then affixing them to a 10-inch square mirror and frame. Or gather inspiration from four consecutive weekly two-hour drawing classes in which students scrawl a variety of lines, 2D and 3D shapes, and objects in perspective using proportion and texture.

Flashing lights and an orchestra of electronic beeps fill Blazzin Lazers' indoor arena, where warriors young and old plunge into battle against others who were friends mere minutes before. Amid a realistic military base and barrels oozing with faux-neon toxic waste, players flex their fingers around laser-gun triggers, dodge enemy blasts, and scan barcodes with superhuman speed as computerized vests keep track of scores. The laser-tag facility also hosts parties, offering packages for larger groups and a party room where groups can lower heart rates as they unwrap birthday presents and enjoy cake or food brought from home. Housed inside the space of a former haunted house, Blazzin Lazers also hosts haunted laser tage in October.
The atmosphere at Jonny Hammers is that of a classic diner and bar, with regulars enjoying a game at the free pool table while guests discuss the finer points of the game over pints of Wisconsin beers. While watching the day’s favored sport’s game on the bar’s television or socializing on the patio, guests can dig into classic American dishes such as burgers, fish fry plates, and thin crust pizzas bursting with fresh produce like an embezzling scarecrow. The diner opens up bright and early at 6 AM every day, with a 12-hour happy hour seeing it through until the evening bar hours.
