Matthew Kemmetmueller took the reigns of The Little Black Booth in 2010, but the roots of the business go much deeper down than that. Matthew's father founded the studio in 1972, long before the invention of digital photography and when the term "camera-phone" just meant a rotary phone on a tripod. In June of 2013, Matthew was named Member of the Month at Wedding & Portrait Photography International, and his business has expanded beyond family portraits, sports shots, and senior photos to include photography and technical workshops.
The Photo Booth Group bolsters bashes by delivering and setting up photo booths that fit up to 16 hard-partying subjects. Their open-air style booths?not enclosed by curtains?allow for larger group shots than traditional enclosed booths. Packages come with props, digital files, and unlimited prints that only take 20 seconds to print out, along with an on-site attendant.
Feather boas, oversize glasses, and false mustaches mounted on sticks rarely fail to get a party started. At least that’s what Picture Perfect Photo Booth's attendants count on as they lug those and other props to galas ranging from company picnics to graduation parties to family reunions. Once they've arrived and set up their black-curtained booth, partygoers can begin layering on whimsical accessories to take a silly photo or to pose as a long-lost family member just passing through town. Patrons can opt for either black-and-white or color photos, and can even customize the layout of their photo strips.
Memory Frames Photo Booth preserves fun-filled moments by snapping black-and-white or colored photographs during parties, weddings, and other events. Following a five-second countdown, the booth's lights flash, capturing the smiles and Shar-Pei impressions of up to three guests snuggled inside. Two identical photo strips print out in less than 8 seconds, revealing subjects dressed in props chosen from the costume trunk. For large parties, an attendant can attach extendable wings to the booth, allowing up to seven guests in a photo at once.
At CL!X Portrait Studios, photographers can capture well-posed shots of siblings in matching sweaters or click away at kids in their natural state of play, whether they are giggling in a frilly tutu or banging on a set of pots and pans. The studio’s array of portraiture styles reflects its founders’ goals: Sandy and Michael Pawlyszyn started CL!X after searching fruitlessly for a user-friendly way to document their own kids’ childhoods. Now, their team of photographers snaps youthful smiles in the studio as well as on site in the community, helming shoots at local schools, dance studios, and sports games. Their subjects need not be children, though—they can craft portraits of entire families, moms-to-be, and high-school seniors before they graduate and cycle back to preschool. The crew also takes photographic fun on the road via photo-booth rentals, which let partiers create their own lasting memories at special events.
