Named the area's best fitness class in 2008 by the Miami New Times, i-bootcamp challenges fitness seekers to shake off obstinate ounces and build strength and cardiovascular prowess with a variety of engaging exercises coupled with nutritional direction. Over the course of 45 minutes, soma-shapers burn through fast-paced intervals of lunges, JC band punches, pushups, bench dips, and wrist-toning French dips, while specialized workouts on the TRX row incorporate resistance training to bolster middling middles and hard cores alike. After two to four weeks, many fatigued frames undergo a marked visual improvement, much like a funeral procession of defective robots slowly transforming into a puppy parade. Trainees can attend any or all of the three weekly sessions under roof or sky depending on location.

At HybridFitness, a trainer works with clients in either group or one-on-one settings, devising workouts to efficiently burn fat and build muscle. Exercises are tailored to each client's goals and problem areas, in an effort to rapidly transform bodies.
CrossFit is “constantly varied, high-intensity, functional movement” that uses fitness techniques such as squatting, lifting, and running in combination with kettlebells, medicine balls, and cardio to rapidly tone up muscles. The skilled CrossFit trainers encourage small-group classes to constantly push their limits in each high-intensity, 45-minute class.
While training themselves to perform at local events and salsa congresses, Nuevolution’s founders discovered their passion for teaching dance techniques and routines, leading them to open their own studio to share rug-cutting wisdom with fledgling hoofers. With great enthusiasm for rhythm and self-expression, the studio's energetic team of instructors introduces students of all skill levels to a variety of Latin dance styles, including salsa, bachata, Argentine tango, and more.
Zumba and Tae Bo fitness classes motivate participants to shimmy off pounds and strengthen muscles so they can bend crowbars into clef notes. The kids' dance program gives younger students their first taste of lyrical, hip-hop or music theater jazz techniques in a fun, lighthearted environment. Nuevolution schedules classes six days a week and can spice up special events with fiery, professional dance numbers.
Savvy Rydes believes in the power of the small group. Its fitness classes are capped at 15 people so its certified fitness instructors can give attention to each participant, whether showing beginners the ropes or motivating veteran exercisers to push themselves to the limit, or to the outskirts of town. The staff fuels these personalized fitness programs with Zumba dance routines, TRX suspension-training equipment, Polar GX gear, or indoor Real Ryder ABF8 cycles that tilt and lean like real bikes.
The instructors at USP CrossFit share a simple, yet somewhat radical belief. They believe that someone working out for the first time should learn and participate in the same drills that help Olympic athletes get into shape. The only distinction worth considering is the degree of intensity.
Following this logic, the trainers have designed a roster of CrossFit workouts that can accommodate participants at all levels of fitness. Their sessions also help groups build camaraderie by stressing shared goals rather than competition. An average class might involve any number of workout activities, from weightlifting and gymnastics to sprinting and tearing cars in half.
