The padded arena inside Great Play of Cypress is a place of transformation. Through interactive activities, kids ages 6 months to 12 years old build new motor skills and develop full ranges of movement. After the Introductory Motor Skills Program, Great Play's instructors help kids learn coordination and agility, which will come into play during sports. Great Play also hosts Zumba for Kids, Birthday Parties, and a Parents' Night Out. For the latter, Great Play's kids experts supervise and occupy children while moms and dads go out on dates or stay at home and play with Legos.
Originally an interior designer and color coordinator, Nisha realized she was meant to design hair when her cousin's makeup artist fell ill the day of her wedding and Nisha stepped in to save the day. She already had the fundamentals––her interior design experience taught her to listen to the client, visualize the whole picture, and customize. It's now 20 years since that wedding and Nisha's still at it at Nisha's Salon. She's hand picked a team of aestheticians and stylists, and together they design and color hair in a way that embellishes each client's individual features such as the shape of their face and the color of their eyes. They also offer facials, waxing, and makeup.
Ana Gutierrez-Aleman has long been a fan of the Confucius quote "choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life." And after a decade-long career in hair, it's her own personal gospel. Ana co-helms Cowboys & Angels Hair Studio with friend and stylist Ashlie De Crosta––a graduate of the prestigious Paul Mitchell hairstyling school and a fellow enthusiast for all things coiffure. The duo cut the hair of women (dubbed "angels"), and wrangle men ("cowboys") in a barbicide lasso during styling sessions.
