Today, along with Ms. Tamina, a certified cosmetologist, hairstyling specialist, and a graduate of New York’s Aveda Institute, Ms. Shalini pampers customers with spa and beauty services in a hair salon and three private treatment rooms.

In the Buddha room, tranquil statues oversee massages and facials under the soft light of candles and paper lamps. In the Village room, hanging lanterns illuminate rustic art as customers recline for facial treatments. Waxing and cleaning treatments populate the Garden room, which cheers clients with fresh flowers that commiserate amicably with freshly plucked hairs.

Sunlight streams in through floor-to-ceiling windows. As it hits a set of shelves that's packed with bottles, it casts a shadow across red salon chairs and black furnishings. Inside this stylish space, New Generation Salon Spa's stylists and aestheticians offer all kinds of hair and spa services. They wield scissors and dyes to cut and color hair and wax to handle any stubble that says no to blades and shavers. Experts are also available to administer various spa treatments including massages, facials, and mani-pedis.
