Fit Pilates classes at here have a lot in common with traditional Pilates classes—but they're more intense, as you might guess from the high-octane soundtrack. Based on the fitness principles of celebrity trainer Sebastien Lagree, these sessions build core strength with moves on a Megaformer—Lagree's take on the Pilates reformer—but they also incorporate interval training, strength training, and cardio elements.
Other butt-kicking fusion sessions abound at the studio, too. Fit Booty Blast does so pretty literally, with Pilates-style moves geared towards toning the glutes, thighs, and abs. Fit Barre, on the other hand, mixes a ballet barre workout and Megaformer, toning participants' physiques into a dancer's form more effectively than an hour of the Macarena.

GlucoFitClub acts a hub for overweight people who want to lose weight, with diabetes, or with pre-diabetes, drawing together different companies, products, and resources to assist in health and education. It partners with YMCAs across the nation to encourage those with diabetes to remain active, as the disease is exasperated by conditions that include high body-mass index and hypertension. Members with diabetes may also receive a glucometer that can upload their fitness-test results and blood-glucose levels to an online database, helping them become more knowledgeable about their own condition. Access to nutrition and diabetes classes at the Y educates members and helps them make good health decisions.
Baby Boot Camp was designed by fitness expert Kristen Horler, who sought a method for new moms to shed their post-pregnancy weight without having to hire a babysitter or personal trainer. Rather than working out away from their babies, mothers in Horler's Strollfit classes keep their strollers close, even pushing them along to use them as resistance. Taught by a nationally certified trainer, each session also relies on exercise tubing and the moms' own body weight to help tone muscles and regain their pre-baby silhouettes.
Before Steve Hochman was a ripped fitness trainer, he was a portly pizza delivery guy, and before that he was a weakling infant who could barely do one pull-up.
