Under the banner of the Greek word pneuma, which means "breath of God," the instructors at Pneuma Yoga/Movement Studio put a Christian spin on the ancient Hindu practice. Through muslin drapes, gauzy sunlight diffuses throughout the homey studio, alighting on beginners as they meditate through gentle flow yoga's relaxed poses and breath work or advanced practitioners as they scrimmage with their limitations in power yoga's muscle-building exercises. Guests can pop in during their lunch hour for Lunch Bunch sessions, and younger patrons aged 12–18 acquaint themselves with the benefits of the limb-limbering art during Prakasha yoga. Instructors keep class sizes intimate, giving each aspiring yogi enough room to move through mountain poses, sun salutations, and lindy-hop routines.

While there's probably not a sign on its door saying "No Boys Allowed," make no mistake: Studio Fitness is an all-women, all-the-time exercise facility. Throughout the week, packs of ladies follow the direction of instructors during multiple morning and evening classes. They step to the hypnotic Latin rhythms of Zumba, pedal vigorously to the energized tunes of RPM-spinning, and stretch through the movements of yoga and Pilates. For a more diverse fitness experience, exercisers can take on the Master Class—a 90-minute mixture of various classes from the schedule.

Doctor of Chiropractic Chris Corsentino and fellow chiropractors Brandon Herrington and Bobby Morris, who make up the team at Dr. Chris Corsentino & Associates, combine chiropractic care with services such as nutrition and exercise advice, stress-reduction techniques, and lifestyle-modification recommendations. In addition to specialized adjustments of the cervical, thoracic, lumbar, and pelvic regions, the doctors restore spinal health with computer-controlled spinal-decompression therapy. They also use laser treatments, ultrasound sessions, and electric muscle stimulation to help patients get on with their lives. Like the underside of an iceberg, their ultimate goal is to never see clients when it’s not necessary.
