When he was a boy in the small town of Mount Olive, Illinois, Dr. David J. Rubis dreamed of being a dentist. Doggedly pursuing his goal, he graduated from Northwestern University Dental School in 1978 and opened his own practice. Years later, his son, Dr. Joseph Rubis, followed in his footsteps by joining a growing network of dental-care centers headed by Rubis pére. Now, as the network boasts 30 dentists working at 10 locations throughout Chicagoland, Advanced Family Dental & Orthodontics, PC, continues its founder’s mission to provide the best care for patrons' teeth, gums, and crippling need to collect every color of complimentary toothbrush.
The Associated Orthodontists practice was established in 1969 and prides itself on employing a staf of experienced orthododntic professionals. Our doctors are all Board Certified and they are involved with professional organizations such as the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists.

At Artistic Dentistry, Drs. Joel Akroush and Harry Oryhon anchor their general, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry procedures to advanced technology, operating in an all-digital, paperless environment. Dr. Akroush—winner of the Nobel Biocare Platinum Award for dedication to implant dentistry in 2001—graduated from Loyola University's School of Dentistry in 1992, and Dr. Oryhon—an Invisalign-certified provider—graduated from the University of Illinois's College of Dentistry in 1972, the same year auto mechanics quit performing root canals. The knowledgeable duo assesses and fosters oral health with digital x-rays, intraoral cameras, electric dental tools, a Zoom! WhiteSpeed device, and a computer system that produces simulated images of patients' smiles postprocedure. Their Identafi 3000 device screens for oral cancer with light wavelengths, and their Picasso Diode laser can help zap away oral lesions and sensitive roots. Open treatment rooms house chair-side computers for staff and TVs and a collection of DVDs for patients.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Zack Zaibak didn’t open up his own office. Instead, he earned his certification in forensic dentistry from the U.S. Navy and completed a residency in advanced dentistry at Loyola Hospital. These experiences foretold a life of constant professional learning; though he now has an award-winning practice of his own, he completes nearly 100 hours of postgraduate training every year. His extensive knowledge has inspired Fox, ABC, WGN and Univision to feature the dentist on consumer-education segments. Dr. Zaibak is also the author of The Hidden Truth Behind Beautiful Smiles, published in 2011. In Dr. Zaibak's office near the Tinley Park Metra station, patients sip complimentary drinks while watching DVDs, listening to CDs, or reciting the alphabet in massage chairs fitted with neck pillows. While they relax, Dr. Zaibak and his highly trained staff make over their smiles with advanced cosmetic treatments, including Invisalign, whitening, and drill-free veneers.
Dr. Michael Egan, a dentist with more than 18 years of experience, works to fill the gaps in grins using the cutting-edge Invisalign system within a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Invisalign straightens crooked chompers with a combination of highly advanced, 3-D computer graphics and the spells of old-fashioned orthodontia. The Invisalign process eschews cumbersome braces for clear, removable aligners that are virtually invisible to the unclothed eye. An initial 30-minute exam, including x-rays, photos, and impressions of your mouth terrain, paves the way for a flurry of calibrated teeth sheaths that are designed to slowly shift walnut crackers into perfect alignment.
