Dr. Saul Lahijani draws upon extensive experience and education as he works to help clients achieve their aesthetic dreams. He began his education at USC, where he earned his undergraduate degree before obtaining a doctorate of medicine at Ross University School of Medicine, finishing at the top of his class. He next performed several residencies at Yale and Vanderbilt, before staying an international fellowship in Barcelona. Today, he welcomes patients into his clinic for non-invasive and surgical treatments, wielding lasers and scalpels to sculpt bodies with the precision of a bionic Michelangelo.
Keeping with DSC Laser and Skin Care Center's motto of “wellness with beauty and grace," Dr. Tony Shum leads a specialized team of medical technicians and image coaches who refine clients with skin-smoothing treatments, weight-loss programs, and etiquette classes. Inside the center’s spacious two-story building, the staff blot out blemishes with IPL lasers and other noninvasive treatments, including diamond-peel dermabrasion and Botox, using 3-D skin analysis to customize sessions and create sentient screen savers. The staff also hold monthly seminars on wellness and social graces, and primp the airwaves with a beauty-focused radio show on KMRB Chinese Cantonese Radio.
La Belle Laser & Plastic Surgery Center has been keeping up with the latest cosmetic-laser equipment since 1996. Today, the center is led by board-certified physician Tin L. Yung, MD, and board-certified plastic surgeon Eric Hu, MD, and has expanded its menu of services to include breast augmentations, plastic surgery, and beauty injections alongside its wide array of laser treatments for unwanted tattoos, scars, wrinkles, Kool-Aid stains, and body hair.
Dr. John Shieh’s noninvasive procedures are so effective that celebrities choose him to keep their skin as ageless as the photos in which they appear. For example, his famous Triniti series attracted the attention of Kris Jenner on Keeping Up with the Kardashians; during one episode, Dr. Shieh showed off the benefits of nonsurgical procedures and skincare regimens that exclude pies in the face. RejuvaYou Medical Spa has also been featured on television shows such as Extra!, Entertainment Tonight, CNN, and in the pages of Forbes, Life & Style, and People Magazine.
Dr. Shieh has also charted new territory as one of the first doctors to use the Matrix RF/Sublative wrinkle-reduction procedure and VelaShape body contouring. Today, Dr. Shieh and his staff treat clients to laser lipo, fat transfer to the breasts, face, hands, and buttocks, Botox, Juvederm, chemical peels, and other procedures that fight the signs of aging.
Natural light floods into ATP Specific Training’s recently remodeled studio, illuminating training equipment such as barbells, yoga balls, and Pilates Reformers. Members of the fitness staff, including exercise-video star and co-owner Tracey Mallett, help clients increase endurance and lose weight during innovative group classes. Available classes include Booty Barre and Indo-Row, a workout that captures all the elements of on-water rowing, as well as a circuit-style session that combines both classes. In addition to fitness classes, a physical-therapy staff blends manual techniques, modalities, and exercises to treat clients with sports-related injuries, poor balance, and post-pregnancy pain.
Doctor of Chiropractic Dan Diep was at his wits’ end. After suffering from scoliosis, poor posture, and frequent back pain growing up, Dr. Diep thought his problems would fade anyway; but in college, picking up a heavy backpack sent shooting pains down a leg. At the suggestion of a friend, he visited a chiropractor and yielded amazing results with simple adjustments. He decided his calling in life was to become a chiropractor and help others in pain—and he hasn’t looked back.
The other chiropractors that work with Dr. Diep also understand their patients’ pain firsthand: one suffered migraines and backaches and another suffered from traumatic injuries following a car wreck before being healed by chiropractic care. They all aim to pay it forward with posture and thermal nerve scans that root out problems and low-force adjustment techniques that fix them.
