The shelves at Color Me Mine?s studios teem with whimsical bisque-pottery pieces?pony and princess figurines, piggy banks, and kitty-cat mugs?each stark white and waiting for the brush strokes of a budding artist. That artist might be a birthday boy at a party or a grown-up unwinding at a girls' night out. No previous experience is required, as the studio staff dispenses plenty of painting tips, stencils, and artistic inspiration. Afterwards, the staff will fire the resulting pieces, which can then be used as d?cor or dinnerware thanks to Color Me Mine's lead-free, food-safe, paints.
A+ Entertainment's photo booths preserve partygoers' memorable moments. With enough room for ten adults, the booths allow dissenting Supreme Court voting blocs to get snapped together at birthdays, bar and bat mitzvahs, and more. At time of reservation, photographees can choose from four colored backgrounds and customizable text displays to last through the night. A box of props, including boas, hats, sunglasses, and inflatables for in-booth, mix-and-match zaniness, comes with each booth.
When kids explore Jumpin Jack’s Inflatable Playland, it's almost as if the different worlds in their imaginations unfold before their eyes. In one section, a giant octopus looms over an inflated ocean-themed obstacle course, where sea turtles, sharks, and other air-filled creatures await. Another bounce structure takes the form of a basketball court, and a carousel-themed bounce house contains the world's only invisible population of clowns. These play areas stand as just three of the seven giant, inflatable structures that cushion the 16,500-square-foot entertainment center. Play structures for kids under 4 keep wee ones entertained, and adults get to have fun, too, with complimentary WiFi and a 50-inch, flatscreen TV.
Choruses of laughter fill these spaces during open-play times and birthdays parties—and Jumpin Jack’s Inflatable Playland's staffers strive to include kids of all stripes. On the second Thursday of every month, they turn off the music and flashing lights for their Jack's Sensory Bounce, welcoming kids with autism and other sensory needs to safely join in on the revelry.
For more than 25 years, the film historians and crackerjack editors at Tailor-Made have kept magnetic and cellophane memoirs alive using the latest technologies to teleport fading keepsakes from outdated media into the digital age. Dusty videotapes of old school musicals or rusty 8 mm footage of your grandparents' siege of Plymouth Rock can now been seen with a clarity that didn’t exist in the myopic days of yore. With a vast array of videotape services, up to two hours of footage from VHS, Betamax, 8 mm, analog electroencephalograms, and more can be carefully converted to DVD ($29.95 per tape) for convenient family viewing. Ravaged tapes that have been chewed up and spewed out by rabid VCRs can ascend to digital heaven with Tailor-Made's repair services ($49.95 per tape). The filmic transformers can also convert film reels and lucid dreams into digitally tangible states.
