The techs at all Victoria's Nails and Spa locations have one thing in common: they pride themselves on running clean shops where clients can come to get their paws pampered. Techs do their best work at the foot of comfortable pedicure chairs, where they apply polish to toes to make them more attractive and less likely to be mistaken for weird bugs and stepped on.
A boldly shaped beehive of black and blond braids. Cascading blond curls, shaded by a sheer veil. The two hairstyles seem like polar opposites, but the team of stylists and makeup artists at QB & Co. were able to expertly craft both for their clients. Helmed by Bethany Bell—whose nickname, “Queen B,” inspired the studio’s name—the team’s services can easily prepare a bride for her wedding day or a model for an avant-garde fashion shoot. The stylists complement their custom hairdos and extensions with hairstyling lessons, which teach patrons that a braid is not just one massive, neglected split end. Meanwhile, their spray tans, eyelash tints, and meticulous manicures enhance features for any occasion.
Edge Salon and Spa is comprised of hairstylists, nail technicians, massage therapists, and aestheticians, all of whom work to help clients look and feel their best. Inside the salon, scissors crop men's and women's hair while foils embellish them with highlights. The spa, on the other hand, focuses on feel-good massages, organic airbrush tanning, and body-sculpting VelaShape treatments.
Chic, light-filled confines replete with tall mirrors and an elegant white-and-brown color scheme welcome clients into Bernard’s Salon and Spa. The modern, opulent look of the space hints at a rich line of products used in-house, including Dermalogica, Unite, Becca, and Jan Marini. Ultramodern hairstyling and European hair-coloring services make use of these hair-buttressing serums to enliven tresses with fresh looks, and one-hour blow-outs leave strands more polished than the aftermath of two olive-oil trucks colliding on freshly waxed bowling-alley lanes. To attend to nonhairdocentric concerns, Bernard’s staff shows clients to private treatment rooms for massage, waxing, and facial services. The savvy team helps both spa and salon clients extend the lives of their services by recommending the proper products to take home or by encasing them in bubble-wrap cocoon.
The Makeup Bar Salon may be named for its chair-lined countertops that brim with signature cosmetics, but its staff of stylists and aestheticians brings much more than just makeup artistry to the table. Supervised by Lisa Severino, a makeup artist with more than 20 years of experience, the salon’s many claims to fame include a seaweed facial that was a 2011 Pick by InStyle magazine and a blow-dry bar with a choice of three styling options: tousled, straight, or Louis XIV. Meanwhile, eyebrow specialists flaunt years of over-eye artistry in brow-shaping sessions that both correct past tweezing blunders and ensure flattering contours when brows grow out. Clients can put a bow on their spa and salon services with exclusive cosmetics, whether the salon’s own or the feng-shui-inspired Color Elements line designed by Severino herself.
