  • Meathead Movers
Since brothers Aaron and Evan Steed founded Meathead Movers as high schoolers in 1997, they’ve earned accolades for their prompt service and professional demeanor while handling local and long-distance moves. Every able-bodied employee must pass written and oral testing and attend the Meathead University continuous-training program, which has resulted in a breakage-to-move ratio that is eight times lower than the national average. The success of Meathead Movers has allowed it to expand into other services including storage and packing. Princess Packers provides premove packing services, allowing clients to focus on more important roles, such as running errands or preparing emotionally unstable pets for a new home. It also donates $1 for every box packed to the Cinderella Fund.

  • Washtime III Laundromat
Washtime III Laundromat's facility is stocked with everything customers might need or want when reviving their dingy duds. The space features 40 washers, which vary in size, accommodating loads as small as 12 pounds or as hefty as 50, plus 25 dryers. There are also nine arcade games, three snack machines, two soda machines, a coffeemaker, candy machines, and two big-screen televisions. Washtime's numerical excellence doesn't stop with the machines, either. For busy customers, the laundromat is not only open daily from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., but its staff members provide Fluff-n-Fold services, which transform laundry into fresh and folded apparel while the wearer is away.

  • Destined for Grace
When Rebecca Costa-Smith took a church trip to Haiti, she never dreamed it would change her life. Edhat.com reports that Costa was deeply moved by the destitution she witnessed among the Haitian youth, and knew it was her fate to make a difference. Less than a year later, she returned with her best friend Lindsey Connolly. It was on that trip that the duo formulated the Destined for Grace concept. Destined for Grace is a non-profit organization that provides food and education for more than 125 grade-school children in poverty-stricken Haiti. As part of this continued effort, Rebecca and Lindsey established the Destined for Grace Thrift Stores, whose profits are used solely to fund their humanitarian efforts.
