Q&A with Elena, Assignment Manager and Counselor

Describe a time your services really changed a client's life for the better.
We recently received a call from one of our brides that their booked photographer disappeared. We got the call the morning of the wedding day. We just happened to have the day available, and with no second thoughts, the photographer made his way toward the wedding location. We did change her life—now she has memories for a lifetime.

Sometimes it's all about the little things in life. What supplemental courtesies do you include with your main services to leave clients with a smile on their face?
For our company "little things" counts. That is why on our website portfolio, we have a folder dedicated only to "little things that make a difference." Our team is very detailed-oriented. Besides the good photography, we offer the courtesy to always have a positive attitude. It is basic social psychology—your own feelings and thoughts will influence and control the crowed, gaining their approval and respect.

How is your approach different than that of other professionals in your field?
Our approach is simple, and it is different from other professionals' in this field: We see photography as a real art, and not just a job.

Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
We have never received a complaint related to our photography. And if this [ever] happens, we will be open to learn and gain experience from issues that our hobby might bring.

Sona Bella translates to ‘I am beautiful’ in Italian, and that's exactly how the chic med spa wants its clients to feel when they exit its doors. Here, the beautifying treatments range from laser hair-removal sessions that leave skin silky-smooth to photofacials and chemical peels that diminish fine lines brought on by natural aging or the stress of time-travel. Specialists sculpt physiques with non-surgical body-contouring treatments or body wraps that use natural plant and seaweed extracts to visibly reduce cellulite and fat, while lax skin can be remedied with cutting-edge treatments that use heat energy to stimulate collagen production.

Of course, Sona Bella's name could also be taken literally. The med-spa boasts a design that's as eye-catching as it is luxurious, surrounding customers with glistening chandeliers sleek, modern furniture, and subtle touches like fresh flowers.

Chef Simon Munsif opened ZuZu Wraps in 2010. From the start, family recipes brought straight from Lebanon were the cornerstone of Chef Munsif's operation. Today, Chef Munsif's son, ZuZu, runs the restaurant, and continues to serve such classics as kabobs, hummos, and the popular beef-and-lamb shawerma—made with sliced layers of beef and lamb stacked atop each other on a rotisserie that are cooked slowly and shaved off. But instead of just writing his name all over the restaurant's walls, ZuZu has made his mark with his own culinary contributions over the years, including a locally famous falafel-and-avocado wrap called the Falavocado that headlines an entire cast of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free specialties.

The Morton Grove Park District plays host to whole families with community-focused childcare, summer camps, fitness classes, and recreational programs. Preschool classes teach kids that classrooms are more than just growth chambers that middle schoolers walk into before emerging as bearded adults. Adults can stay fit with athletic programs or laps around the park's multiple pools. As visitors leave dance classes or wrap themselves in tinfoil to better reflect sunlight into the eyes of passing cyclists, they can take notice of the eco-friendly lighting of the Prairie View Community Center.

The 10 golf courses that comprise Forest Preserve Golf guide players on a tee-to-green tour of the greater Chicagoland area, offering an insightful glimpse into the city’s culture and history. Burnham Woods, for example, takes its name from the legendary architect and urban planner Daniel Burnham, credited with designing the city’s structural layout and its manmade river of mustard. The Chick Evans course is named after the first player to win both the US Open and US Amateur, who would later go on to found the popular Evans Scholarship for caddies. With each course densely forested, golfers walk among the area’s natural wonders, as the Highland Woods course perches upon the highest point in Cook County and the Little Calumet River winds through the River Oaks course. With the exception of the 9-hole Billy Caldwell and Meadowlark courses, all are full-length 18-hole tracks.
