Sweating to the oldies is acceptable, but sweating to the blues less so. Do you find that certain styles and genres of music generate more intense workouts?
Absolutely. We try to keep our playlists current and upbeat. We will occasionally throw in a "throw back" tune that everyone loves and gets everyone into the workout groove.
Exercise is challenging, and people frequently give up on their fitness routines. How do you keep clients motivated?
We have high-energy and motivating trainers.

Classically trained dancer, fitness enthusiast, and Cancer survivor barely scratch the surface when describing Serenite' Fitness owner Karen Boynton. For Karen, fitness and dance have been a lifelong pursuit, and she blends the two at Serenite' Fitness, where she and a team of certified instructors guide students through revolutionary BarreAmped classes. Using a ballet barre, students balance as they perform small, isolated muscle movements while holding challenging postures. They might also take to the ground to perform Pilates-inspired movements or stretches, all working to boost metabolism, burn fat, and increase flexibility.
More than a dozen different dance-class options teach students the art of ballet, tap, musical theater, tumbling, tap, jazz, modern and lyrical dance styles. A special boys-only hip-hop class guides students through dance moves, and an adult fusion class combines ballet, jazz, and contemporary. An onsite boutique readies students with dancewear including tights, tap shoes, and papier-m?ch? tutus.
