Bill Blair spent 20 years training franchise owners how to build their businesses. One day he asked, "Why can't I do it for myself?" Though the environmentally friendly products are an important part of Bill's mission, he explains why traditional chemicals are always on hand for those who request them: "A lot of green chemicals will sanitize but not disinfect, and some clients really like that chemically fresh smell. I can always do partially green, fully green—whatever fits the needs of the customer."
Another important facet of NuKastle's strategy is the ability to tailor services to individual clients. "Companies will quote prices based on the website's stock info,” Bill says. “It doesn’t focus on the needs of customers." So he does things a little differently. "I go meet the homeowner first, spend 15 minutes coming up with a detailed work schedule fitted to their needs. It's about a relationship that I want to establish, a rapport." This desire to form personal bonds is one reason NuKastle partners with Cleaning For A Reason, a charitable organization offering free house cleaning to women battling cancer.
