Lifetouch Inc. became the world’s largest employee-owned photography company one portrait at a time.
Today, Lifetouch and its subsidiaries serve the photographic needs of people of all ages. Lifetouch truly is “memories for a lifetime.”
This week may bring Michael Kors and Bebe, and next week could feature Ann Taylor and Seven, but no matter when someone stops in Eye of the Beholder Consignments, items from high-profile brands can be found on the shelves. Handbags may carry names such as Prada, Coach, and Juicy Couture, and clothing may hail from Talbots, Chico's, and Coldwater Creek. The shop also stocks shoes, business suits, and maternity wear for expectant mothers and dudes who just want to get closer to their children by dressing as a nanny. A portion of proceeds goes to charities such as the Baltimore Humane Society and the American Cancer Society.
I love turning a previous moment into a visual memory that you can look back and relive. I specialize in newborn, children, family portraits and events such as weddings and birthday parties. You don't always need a special occasion to get pictures taken!
The shutter-snapping staff at Hut Photos trains studio lights, technical know-how, and creative impulses on subjects to reveal inner and outer beauty. Adept eyes capture every moment throughout weddings and facilitate tastefully sultry boudoir sessions to highlight inner allure. Flash-popping fiestas also help aspiring models to build their portfolios, and craft poignant portraits ideal for hanging in family rooms or wearing on the back of the head to confuse mischievous children. Shoots take place in Union 206 Studio's expansive, climate-controlled space, complete with a private room for wardrobe changes and makeup.

The restorative experts at Techlab Photo provide a variety of filmy services, including traditional film processing, original prints, slideshows, audio/video transfer, and more. VHS tapes and filmstrips lose quality over time, so prolong their viewing cycle by converting to DVD. Aging photographs can time warp via the image-enhancing touch of Techlab's photo-restoration services, including color correction, contrast adjustment, and cleaning. A variety of high-end services, such as picture-slideshow creation and custom photo-book printing are also available to capture the many souls of life's memories. Pricing varies by project; call for details.
The nugget of inspiration that sparked Photo In a Box occurred when one of the founders wanted a photo booth for his own wedding, but wouldn’t settle for inferior service or unrealistic prices. The two founders—who are also best friends—went with the obvious solution: start their own photo-booth company. Now they service DC, Northern Virginia, Maryland, and other more remote locales, toting along professional photo booths to events such as weddings, birthdays, or pre-New Year's Eve parties in July. Some of the booths snap high-resolution shots printed on classic photo-booth strips, while some come equipped with video and social media–integration capabilities. A prop box holds fun toys and costumes such as boas, tiaras, and oversized glasses, and Photo In a Box can customize each booth experience according to the occasion with personalized strip borders and props.
