Eye Level Learning Center’s name draws its inspiration from the story of a teacher with a unique perspective. On a trip to the Smithsonian, a man would kneel down in front of each painting, attracting the attention of other visitors. Finally, when asked what he was doing, he replied, “I am an elementary-school teacher, and I will bring my students here tomorrow. I was wondering how my students would enjoy the paintings from a student’s eye level.” In that spirit, the tutors at this multidisciplinary learning center put the reins in their students' hands with their child-directed learning process, which ensures kids develop the skills they need at a pace they can handle, without getting bored enough to eat their homework and blame it on their dogs.
Currently the Head Golf Professional and Director of Instruction at The Heritage Golf Club, Keith Jarvis calls upon his 24 years of experience as a professional player and coach to enhance each lesson. Students perfect swings for extra distance off the tee and practice short-game precision for more one-putts and fewer galleries showered with sand. Lesson programs incorporate the K-Vest trainer, worn to limit extraneous movements and develop muscle memory during the swing, and Tomi putting equipment, which helps putters develop a consistent stroke.
At Action Bartending School, instructors with more than five years of behind-the-bar experience train pupils in bartending fundamentals. During private workshops or classes that are capped at six, students practice their cocktail-making skills at their own station in an actual bar environment. They’ll learn what glasses to use for cocktails, how to make garnishes, and ways to signal their piano players to switch over to the minor key when a bad guy enters. Within one week, students graduate with their certification, at which point Action Bartending School assists them in finding a full-time bartending job.

At Innovative Learning Concepts, tutors pave the way for students of all backgrounds to become leaders in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Founder Angelicque Tucker-Blackmon, a STEM educator and former research chemist, emphasizes the importance of supplying youth with the tools they need to become innovators—and, later, an inspiration for the next generation. Therefore, private tutoring classes help K–12 students catch up to and exceed their academic expectations, particularly in upper-level high-school courses such as physics and trigonometry. Specialized enrichment programs encompass math clinics, robotics classes, and sessions that shape future scientists and entrepreneurs.
