The photos we leave behind may be the only way for future generations to see the styles and personalities we bear. That’s why the professional makeup artists and photographers at Glamour Shots strive to capture the true essence of a person with their shoots. Whether commemorating a milestone event or a successful trip to the grocery store, each session begins with the shop’s signature full airbrush and style makeover, which works to prevent unwanted shine while imparting a chic aesthetic. Makeup artists tailor looks to the purpose of the shoot, imparting children with a red-cheeked glow and boudoir subjects with a dark, seductive color palette.
Photographers encourage everyone to bring a few outfits and props from home, allowing them to give each photo shoot an individualized touch without snapping close-ups of their subjects’ fingerprints. Clients get to see the photos immediately so they can approve the looks and order their favorite shots in the form of pictures, phone cases, or calendars. A professional lab then prints out the chosen items using a range of color finishes—including colorization to make one color pop and the company's signature Glamour Touch retouching—onto made-to-last Kodak paper.
Suburban Studio will snap crystal clear, high-quality shots of you and a companion or your entire family in virtually any setting. Settle into the comfortable atmosphere at the interior studio, or request that you and a photographer rendezvous at an outdoor scenic location, such as a park, a tree house, or the inside of a coconut. The friendly, knowledgeable Suburban Studio staff will even make suggestions on how to look sharp for the camera (by choosing the right clothes, wearing subtle makeup, and striking imaginative poses), while encouraging you to make your own statement. These skilled shutterbugs work to personalize set designs in advance, ensuring you'll capture the essence of your relationship.
Professional photographer Jaci Sumner approaches every shoot with a clean slate, taking cues from the personalities of those centered in her lens rather than imposing a fixed aesthetic onto a client or occasion. The resulting photos are marked by a certain naturalness and are made unique by the photographer's willingness to break with outmoded photography conventions.
When she's not taking photographs, Jaci engages in locally focused philanthropic efforts that include her own organization, ProjectStella. The initiative was named after her dog and studio companion Stella, and has raised funds for the Milwaukee Humane Society since 2009.

Besides making clients happy, what do you like most about your job?
I love being behind my camera. I love editing. I love everything there is to do with my job INCLUDING customers and making sure that they are happy with the end product. If they aren't satisfied then I'm not satisfied either. I want my photographs to be beautiful works of art, that we can BOTH be proud of––that can be hung on the wall.
Sometimes it's all about the little things in life. What supplemental courtesies do you include with your main services to leave clients with a smile on their face?
I make sure that the customer is completely comfortable. If they need a break, or a bathroom break, then we stop and cater to what is needed. I make sure that they are SATISFIED. Satisfied customers come back. If that means a re-shoot, then we do it. I am all about making the customer happy.
What's one tip for first-time customers that will make them feel like regulars?
I suggest that the customer be themselves, I encourage them to be themselves, and not act a certain way because they are behind the lens/camera. Its the best way for me to capture their truest personalities. I focus on one-on-one personal attention with each client’s wants and needs. I also suggest that you either all wear plain colored shirts and jeans or plain colored shirts and khakis. Some people have worn the same colored shirts and jeans and that has been sharp. Some people have all used earth tones and that has looked sharp. Some have used birthstone colors (emeralds, rubies, etc) and that has looked stunning. I suggest that you speak to me first about what's "in" when you book your appointment, if you're interested. Things are constantly changing.
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
I'm a shutterbug who lives to capture life's most beautiful moments. I'm inspired by the uniqueness of people and have a talent for capturing their essence on film. I work mainly with natural light. My main goal is to capture the true spirit of what I am being hired for. To make it fun, exciting, relaxing, enjoyable, and most importantly memorable, by the photos I take. I love to photograph and because this is what I love to do, I want to give it back to my customers.
Since graduating at the top of her class from Milwaukee Area Technical College with an associate’s degree in photography, Amber Pheifer has harnessed her image-capturing know-how in countless in-studio and on-location sessions. Alongside her husband Ryan, who handles Pheifer Photography’s business end, Amy works from a handicapped-accessible in-home studio nestled on the pair’s five-acre property. Within one to two weeks after shoots, Amy reconnects with clients for a viewing session, when they determine which pictures deserve prominence as prints, high-quality digital images, or self-destructing holiday cards for secret agents. Pheifer Photography also immortalizes wedding days with a comprehensive package that begins with separate day-of shots of the bride and groom and continues through the Grand March.
Before looking through the camera lens, the expert photographers at Picture People spend time getting to know their subjects and establishing a strategy for conveying their personalities in print. Then, film-ready clients pose in the bright camera room, airing teeth amid colorful backdrops and creative props. Following snapshots, subjects make their way to the selection station to choose their favorite poses from their session, which may be treated with sepia tones, color accents, and decorative borders to suit any wall, wallet, wallpaper pattern, or trophy walleye.
Picture People offers a variety of creative tips to help enhance mantel-dominating final results. The studio ensures satisfaction with a 100% guarantee on finished products.
