Texas Ski Ranch sends wakeboarders, kneeboarders, and water-skiers skimming across the placid surface of a cable lake?all without the use of a boat. Ropes connected to a circulating cable high above the water pull up to six athletes at a time around the water, with kickers and sliders stationed throughout to provide opportunities for big air, as well as a Little Bro cable system for beginners.? Aside from the cable park, the 70-acre sports wonderland also boasts a 15,000-square-foot city-style skate park, an indoor trampoline park, a beach area, a portable rock wall, and Wahoo's Fish Taco restaurant. Even snowboarders and snow-tubers can visit to slide down the SnowPark's artificial slopes, or take lessons from a crew of seasoned instructors.

For 25 years, Landa River Trips’ inner tube floats have made average people amphibious. Customers arrive at the onsite river entrance and free parking lot seven days a week to grab an inner tube with or without a bottom. Some also include a cooler for stowing beverages, provided they don't include glass, styrofoam, or antimatter. Then they walk down to the beginning of the Comal River, recline in the buoyant tubes, and enjoy a leisurely float down spring-fed waters. After customers have had their fill of conversation and refreshment, a shuttle returns them to the dry land of the parking lot.

San Antonio's distinctive cityscape of modern marvels and ancient architecture unfurls before sight-seekers during City Sightseeing San Antonio's 50-minute tours. Visitors clamber aboard one of the company's fleet of candy-apple-red double-decker buses and listen along with pre-recorded commentary as a savvy driver escorts the group around the city. Among many other stops, The Buckhorn Saloon and Museum awaits budding Texas Ranger historians, and the Blue Star Contemporary Art Center satisfies the tastes of those who prefer Walker's impressionist phase.
