What is one fun, unusual fact about your business?
As a native New Yorker who was a former history teacher and an avid foodie, I really enjoy taking people to out of the way places that they would generally never get to see. I also love turning people on to unique places and tastes that they could only find here in New York.

In your own words, how would you describe your menu?
Our tastings are varied from Polish pirogies, Jewish rugelach, and Italian cannolis to Chinese dumplings.
The friendly guides at Central Park Tours peel back the corners of the Manhattan landmark, showing tourists and native New Yorkers alike its many treasures during walking, bicycle, and pedicab tours. Throughout each educational jaunt around the lush 843-acre park, groups stop and learn about historic sites, such as the Belvedere Castle, Strawberry Fields, and the Shakespeare Garden, where the poet grew the tomatoes for his notoriously delicious BLTs. The company doesn't limit its knowledge of the area to just their tours. It also organizes special events, such as corporate gatherings, school functions, and even weddings, right there in the park.
Since 1978, Champion Day Camp has sated kids’ hunger for summertime adventure. During day camps, children are divided into small groups organized by age and supervised by staff members who are responsible for three to five campers each. In this nurturing environment, kids can make friends and learn new skills as they enjoy a range of activities such as the Ropes Adventure program—which includes climbing walls, ziplines, and a 52-foot “Humongous Tower”—or computer-, yoga-, and photography-based activities. Champion also stages traditional camp activities, such as swimming, soccer, and speculating on the ingredients of bug juice.
If you're not sure what you have a taste for when you walk in the door of Portobello Cafe, it'll probably take you awhile to decide. The dinner menu challenges timid eaters with more than 75 menu items, predominantly Italian-style dishes such as veal saltimbocca and rosemary-crusted rack of lamb. There are some playfully international dishes as well, such as Italian egg rolls stuffed with broccoli rabe and parmesan risotto. Folks can always leave the decisions up to the professionals, however, with prix fixe dinners. During the day there's an equally extensive lunch menu to ensure that none of the meals think the chef is playing favorites.
