At Asana Yoga & Massage, trained instructors guide yogis of all ages and ability levels through a packed schedule of diverse yoga practices. Gentle yoga introduces students to movements as simple and flowing as a gown made of pixie tears to evict aches and pains from the body and empty overloaded stress receptacles. During the fast-paced Vinyasa flow, pupils delve into an ever-changing roster of postures, linking deep stretches to slow breaths, or adults can sample restorative kripalu flow classes, which train torsos to shimmy their way toward muscle definition as well as improved posture and coordination.
For the specialists at Enlighten Laser Services, lasers are not simply a beauty tool, but a powerful ally in the fight against some of the skin's most prevalent problems. At each of their locations, the staff calls on many forms of this noninvasive technology—from hair and spider-vein removal to cellulite reduction and skin tightening—to tone, sculpt, and brighten clients' bodies, bringing out their natural beauty.
The clinics also possess a knack for traditional skin care. Their on-site aestheticians know that every client's skin is unique, much like every snowflake's 12-digit identification number. They demonstrate this philosophy by customizing each treatment to suit the client's skin type, skin tone, and beauty goals. Before administering any of their facials, body-slimming laser services, or IPL acne clearance treatments, the staff consults with clients about their history and answers any questions.
Designed by course architect Les Furber, The Links at Penn Hills’ 18-hole course weaves through waterways, wooded tracts, and rolling terrain for 7,236 yards of challenging golf. Breezes drift onto the course from the nearby Shubenacadie River, creating a tranquil environment for players to split fairways with soaring drives and carb-free clubs. At the end of each hole, bent-grass greens present a slick surface for each testy, breaking putt. Water hazards come into play on six holes, including the par 5 seventh, where shots must clear water and land on a bunker-fortified island green patrolled by a bearded, marooned Tom Hanks. The course promotes game improvement with a training complex that includes a 300-yard driving range, a nine-hole practice green, and a practice bunker. Course at a Glance:
