MidSouth offers classes multiple times every day but Sunday, including doubly intense, half-hour "Power 30" sessions (all other sessions are 50 minutes). Mounted on a top-of-the-line Concept 2 rower and emboldened by the technical feedback and boisterous encouragement of your rowfittest instructors, you'll row your way into the flexing, chiseled realm of the Rowverse. With regular rowing, you can get as shredded as a block of cheese in a Mexican restaurant and ably equipped with boulder shoulders, promontory pecs, granite abs, and Grand Teton biceps. Best of all, it’s a low-impact, easy-on-the-joints workout that won't melt your knees or aggravate your ol' "hopscotch ankle."
Midtown's professionally trained and certified mechanics first conduct a general safety inspection to ensure the frame is structurally sound, wheels aren't warped, and the bicycle isn't actually a rouge quadricycle. Then during the basic tune-up ($45–$60) they'll clean the drive train (without removing any parts) and make adjustments. After gears, brakes, headset, hubs, and BB set are impeccably tuned, the bike buffs perform a minor wheel truing and lubricate everything that can be lawfully lubricated in accordance with the landmark 1958 Supreme Court ruling, Cavendish vs. The State of Missouri.

Group classes are currently held Mondays and Wednesdays from 7 a.m.–8 a.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 a.m.–7 a.m.
Fitness Plus is small enough that the friendly staff knows your name, but big enough to prevent any Three Stoogery amongst exercisers using the free weights. After one of Fitness Plus's friendly workoutsmen gives you your orientation (call ahead to book your orientation session), you'll be free to run miles on the cardio machines, bench press pounds on the weight machines, or sweat out hurt feelings during a class in Fitness Plus's spacious group exercise room, which has a state-of-the-art sound system and a specially engineered cushioned floor to protect you from injury and pro-wrestler attacks. Fitness Plus offers step classes, Pilates, and cardio every week; check out the schedule to see what's going on.
The inspiring trainers at MetaBody lead troops of workouteers in results-oriented workouts several times weekly. Sweat sessions utilize a variety of exercises and disciplines to produce full-body results in a supportive environment, ideal for beginners and hard-core core-hardeners alike. During any class, motivational instructors will use the instinctual distrust of routine to their advantage. Begin a day of litigating with a refreshing early-morning boot-camp session, or wind down by burning evidence and pounds with a late-evening Shaolin kung-fu class. Muscles are kept guessing with new and challenging moves during each session, so participants never fall into a boring, ineffective routine, such as regular teeth brushing. In addition to the fitness classes, students receive a success guide to help prepare for imminent pound loss, a nutrition guide, and a $100 gift certificate for individual coaching. Because the pass sets a 10-class cap at any given location, roving fitness mavens can further shake up their workout regimens by vetting a series of classes or instructors that work best for them.
