Oregon Dream Ponies sits surrounded by hillside vineyards and orchards that pose as a serene backdrop for pony rides, horse rides, and special events. The roster includes ponies of varied sizes and ages that ensure kids of all ages can ride comfortably and confidently. While visiting the ranch, children as young as two years old learn how to interact with ponies, how they're groomed, and what they eat. Pony rides hand-led by staff members either at the ranch or during on-location pony parties give children a supervised opportunity to learn to ride. Other sessions allow children to guide ponies through a series of obstacles, from crossing a bridge to trotting over logs to solving complex algebraic equations.
One sunny day, Rob Kelley's kids did something characteristically adorable: they decided to make juice from berries they'd picked in the fields. Not so adorably, they spilled the pitcher of just-smashed berries all over one of his dining-room chairs, and the dark purple juice spread across the upholstery. Luckily for the kids, their father owns Sweet's Chem-Dry, and after a session with the company's hot carbonating extraction system, all evidence of the accident disappeared. Kelley documented his success in a small Facebook album.
His team employs the same carbonation system, along with a green, nontoxic cleanser, to lift dirt and debris from carpets, area rugs, and car interiors. Propelled by a truck-mounted machine, the system's microscopic bubbles delve deep into fibers to push grime to the surface, where hot-water extraction flushes it away. Since this system does not leave residue the way cleaning a carpet traditionally or just letting the birds have at it does, carpets stay clean longer. Fabrics dry in up to two hours, and optional protectant shields carpets and upholstery from future stains.
Inspired by the endless beauty of nature, Lauran Alyssa shoots outdoors, masterfully manipulating natural light and panoramic backgrounds during photo sessions. During on-location shoots for families, couples, kids, and individuals, she composes images with sharp detail and colors that pop. She also keeps sessions light and fun so her clients can relax for candid and staged poses before the camera. As memories are fleeting, she knows a camera should be around for almost all moments, especially the big ones, so she offers comprehensive wedding coverage as well.
A bright-yellow biplane soars through the sky, performs barrel rolls, and loops into the clouds—all while staying 10 inches above the ground. Across Imagine: Play's rooms and halls, a treasure trove of toy vehicles and themed areas lets children stretch their imaginations. Each pintsize visitor can transform into the captain of a 20-foot tugboat, conduct a 12-foot blue locomotive, or plunge down a bounce house's slides. Elsewhere, 50 puppets act out plays, and a 20-foot-long chalkboard hallway transforms into whatever scene springs from kids' minds. Imagine: Play's creators built each of these areas with low walls, which allow parents to keep an eye on kids from nearby picnic tables. The staff members' creativity also stretches to themed upstairs party rooms. Here, they hang colorful backdrops that can teleport guests into a jungle, a tropical beach, or a medieval-castle scene.
