As he gained a reputation in the ring for being a determined and fierce fighter, Tim Stout earned the nickname “MOAB”—an acronym for Massive Ordinance Air Blast, a powerful bomb. For more than 20 years, Tim has been training in martial arts, beginning with karate before delving into muay thai, boxing, and wrestling. Along the way, the ambitious athlete earned championship titles in tournaments across the country, holding the South Carolina Grappling Championship title for three years.
When he isn’t training for upcoming matches, Tim pulls lessons from his personal playbook to teach students at his own training school, MOAB Fighting Concepts. Amidst the private studio’s cushioned floors and heavy punching bags, Tim and his staff of award-winning fighters train aspiring punch-smiths in a wide variety of martial-arts techniques, from boxing to wrestling to MMA. In addition to technique-focused kickboxing classes, the trainers lead a cardio-kickboxing class specially designed to slim physiques and tone muscles. The instructors also train up tots in kids' kickboxing and jujitsu classes, where they lead youngsters through self-defense techniques such as how to wrestle an opponent to the ground or roundhouse kick a baseball for the game-winning home run.
After shaping her aesthetic skills at resort spas in the Caribbean, Katrina Brown retreated to the mainland to create Kat Eyes, where semi-permanent eyelash extensions, custom organic facials, soy-based waxing services, and bridal spa packages enhance physiques. As a certified Xtreme Lashes specialist, Katrina thickens lash lines by bonding a variety of natural-looking strands to each eyelid's original fringe, employing a specialized glue and trust exercises. Her firm stance on using quality products has led her to refresh faces with Éminence Organic Skin Care products, which blend elixirs with vitamin-rich fruits, vegetables, and herbs plucked from Hungary's secret gardens.
Newnan Belly Dance owner and instructor Hollie Morgan Schmidt shakes abs and shimmies hips in her females-only, beginners-only American Tribal Style belly-dance classes. With torsos draped in stretchy fabrics and feet enveloped in socks, dance shoes, or human skin, Newnan's newbies learn a blend of traditional and innovative belly boogies. Classes take place once a week, and begin with a rundown of American Tribal Style history and an introduction to basic steps. As classmates become acquainted with early material and each other's navels, the courses slowly progress to Turkish Shimmy breakdowns and torso rotation instruction. The 10-week sessions begin seasonally, with the April course approaching. Classes are typically scheduled on Wednesday nights.

CrossFit Newnan's trainers never lead the same workout twice. Their CrossFit exercises break past fitness plateaus and boredom with high-intensity challenges that change daily, with a focus on ramping up functional movements such as pushing, squatting, and pulling. Trainers are mindful of form, ensuring that exercises are safe and effective from first movement to last; they can also adjust the intensity for any fitness level. While they've stocked the gym with training equipment such as pull-up bars, jump ropes, kettlebells, and climbing ropes, they also sometimes head to a local park for a change of scenery and a chance to pose for local topiary artists.
Each group session fosters a spirit of camaraderie and friendly competition, motivating exercisers to put their best tire-flip forward. Trainers stay squarely in each member?s corner, keeping track of their progress and offering nutritional support as needed.
